May take a little trouble shooting. However it works well for me.
It took a little work. I purchased two(2). One(1) for the laptop and One(1) for a desktop.Laptop: I had to change some of the USB settings in the BIOS on my ThinkPad. The ThinkPad wouldn't boot with the Dongle in place. After I changed the settings in the BIOS it worked like a charm.Desktop: Worked Sketchy to start. I had it plugged into the back of my CPU witch is located inside a desk enclosure. The audio was cutting in and out. After a short few minutes, the headset would drop all together. Bluetooth is an easily disrupted signal. I relocated the dongle to a USB port on the front of the PC case and boom, Working like a charm. Worth the effort I say.

Not good for headsets under windows
I suppose this is ok, but I bought it for use with a headset and it didn't come with good drivers. It's probably OK for something like a mouse or keyboard, but to get the headphones to work, I had to reinstall it every time I would turn them on. Even that was iffy. Unfortunately, it uses a chipset made by a company that was bought by a company that was bought by a company, so no drivers available. I bought Kensington brand because I thought it would have good support and the bug worked out of it. I was wrong. If you want to connect a headset, buy something with the Broadcom chipset, otherwise, this is probably fine.

so using Windows Bluetooth File Transfer is much easier than the terrible software suite provided for the phone)
This Bluetooth adapter works. I've used it on two computers. One is used to get photos off of a cell phone (it's not a smartphone, so using Windows Bluetooth File Transfer is much easier than the terrible software suite provided for the phone). I use it on the other computer to stream music to a portable Bluetooth speaker. The Bluetooth itself works fine. My only complaint is that there's a blue light that blinks constantly. It reminds me of Homer Simpson's "Everything is OK Alarm." The blue light has no purpose. I'm considering finding some paint to block the annoying and unnecessary light.

Good signal, easy setup.
Plug and play on Windows 7 64 bit and Windows 8 64 bit. I bought six of them, have deployed 4 so far. They have so far been no problem. They come with a non-standard BlueTooth stack (CSR Harmony (Cambridge Silicon Harmony) which by itself provides better-than-built it connectivity to phones and other computers to make a small bluetooth network. The stack interfered with some other devices (a mouse and file storage device) so I ended up removing it. It worked well without ever having to run the software from the CD.

Strong performing adapter at a great price. A real value!
This Bluetooth adapter works on both the Raspberry Pi 1 and 2 right out of the box and I have used this adapter on three different Raspberry Pi's to pair my Playstation 3 remote controls to it and I have always been very impressed with how they worked. The range is as expected and is certainly not less than other high dollar adapters and after using two Playstation remote controls for hours with this I have never had a single disconnect. One other thing I REALLY like about this adapter is that it has a blue LED indicator that shows that the device you are pairing is communicating and it does not leave you guessing rather it is working or not. ;)

Finally working!
Needed to add Bluetooth to my custom built Windows 10 pc. Initially would not work and was gonna leave a one star review. Bought an asus adapter and still couldn't get Bluetooth to work. After some digging/research/and youtube videos, it turned out to be windows 10 related. Once I fixed that, it worked as needed.

4.0 for old macs
Bluetooth on my iMac went out after replacing the internal drive with a solid state. Didn't wanna spend the money on them trying to take the computer apart again so I just grabbed this little guy!Upgraded me to Bluetooth 4.0!Worked great on my iMac, and I've since gotten a second one for my old Mac Pro tower too. Sets up perfectly, plug and play. Seems like I actually get better connection to my keyboard and mouse now, no connection dropouts.I've been using it daily for over a year and haven't had any issues. Great product!

Kensington Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter for Laptops (K33956AM)
The unit works great, but required phone support to complete the install on my Win 7, 64 bit Lenovo. The telephone support was excellent, and the tech got me up an running on the first call. I rated it a 4 only because it did not install the first time as a plug and play device. Once it was installed it worked great and would get a 5 for performance.
