WORKS GREAT
I have had mine for over a year now and would buy it again. My neighbors have even use it in their pools and loves it. It climbs the wall very easily and yes you have to pull it out about once a week and clean the filters but that is nothing compared to trying to clean the pool with a hand vacuum.

Dolphin Neptune Pool Cleaner
This pool cleaner does a better job than the much higher priced unit that we had before. We are very pleased.

Not better than a pool sweep
Doesn't really clean the walls, and vacuums a little bit, but usually only gets about 20%-30% of leaves. It has very little capacity, so you have to clean the filter often. And cleaning the filter means dumping the contents and hosing down the four filter cartridges and the inside of the unit. Oh, but after a few weeks, you won't be able to open the bottom to get to the filters without some tools - dirt will get in those yellow tabs making impossible to open with your hands. It appears Dolphin designers don't actually own pools, so they really don't know how inconvenient their products are. It is true is uses less electricity than a booster pump and a pool sweep - but it's not worth the trade off.

Do not bother with this. 100% genuine believe me it's not what is described. It's rubbish
I bought this pool cleaner 4 months ago. Currently desprately trying to send the rubbish thing back. It does not scrub it merely rolls over things. Hardly picks up anything. Does not climb the walls it just goes up then after few inches falls away. Do not waste your money. My old dolphin machine worked well. These are rubbish. Either spend more money or really don't bother. This is a genuine review those positive reviews I think are written by company employees despiretly trying to shift this rubbish

Great for the Price
We are new to robotic pool vacuums having previously used Pool Blasters that go on the end of a pole, are battery powered, and while effective, are slow, often need to be emptied, and require YOU to stand there and run a 12” head around the pool. So if you want to affordably step up to a robotic version that runs on power and gets the job done for you, this is your machine. This Neptune does a sweet job cleaning my pool. It will climb walls, but is sporadic in my freeform pool at reaching the water line. It does not like my steps, which are narrower then it can manage. My feeling is that if I can’t run a brush on my steps and along the top perimeter, I don’t deserve a pool/should hire a pool boy. So if you want affordably in on a solid pool cleaner, grab one of these cheap while you can. Amazon has a great price and you will be happier. Maytronics doesn’t seem to market these anymore, but is a solid company and they still sell “sister” models so grab this while it lasts if what you want if a solidly clean pool.Update: having completed a full season with our Neptune, I am still really delighted with the machine. I ran it a couple of times a week and it kept my pool looking great. You definitely can spend more (this is a great price!) but I haven’t felt like I am missing out on anything. (Unless the other cleaners also wash, dry and fold the pool towels I am not sure they’re worth hundreds or a thousand more!)
