I believe it's 15 ft. We have the expandable version and feel it does reach that much. **Q: Where is the pole saw manufactured? Where are the batteries manufactured?** A: on the battery charger it says made in china, on the battery it says made in vietnam, there is nothing on the pole saw itself as to where it was made. you might call oregon cordless at 888-313-8665. **Q: Can the chain saw be easily removed from the pole to store in the Oregon saw bag?** A: No. It comes with the saw mounted on the pole and that whole assembly is fastened to the motor with screws. FYI: It's a good saw. The chain they supply is aggressive and I have been surprised at how long the battery lasts... I trimmed a couple of pretty good size trees with it and still had half a battery left. So impressed that I am writing this review while the battery is charging and I can't wait to get back at it!I live on a property that is covered in bush honeysuckle and wild roses. Anyone who has ever had any dealings with these knows what a nightmare this is. I saw a fellow using a pole saw and the light went off in my head that it may be the tool for my job. I ordered this particular one based on other reviews. I am picky about my tools and how I spend my money and I knew this was going to see some serious use so I spent the extra. No regrets on that so far!Assembly was straight forward but I have a long history with chainsaws and the like. About 10 minutes was what it took me to get it from in the box to ready to work. Seems well made, nothing is flimsy. It is on the heavy side, just about what a gas unit weighs, so not terrible. If you have a bad back or weak arms, you will want to carefully consider that it is no lightweight. It does come with a shoulder strap this is adequate and semi-comfortable. Naturally, I had to charge the battery, so I had to wait the better part of 2 hours before I could put it to the test.On the first charge, I trimmed quite a few low hanging limbs off some oaks and cedars in my yard. It cut through 3" oak almost as fast as my 16" chainsaw. Then I checked the battery and it was still full but the chain needed tension. Adjustment was quick and easy. Then the real work began. In all, it saw about 2.5 hours of hard use before the battery was ready for a charge. It worked great! I could extend it and stand well clear of the branches while i sawed the middle out of 10 foot tall bushes. That is a big plus when thorns are involved. I did adjust the chain tension one more time during that use.Hopefully I will be singing this same song for the long term, but for right now, I am one happy buyer (and that is an increasingly rare thing nowadays;-). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Well built pole saw *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2023* This pole saw works great. I've used it several times to limb up trees in my yard, my neighbors yard and my son's yard. Stays sharp and cuts through tough oak and maple branches. Battery life is as advertised about 60 minutes depending on how you use it. Recharge time from empty is about 30 t0 45 minutes. The chain adjustment screw is a bit difficult to adjust on the fly but I recommend carrying a flat head screwdriver with you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars One design flaw but overall Excellent *by B***Y on Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2018* Let me start by saying I research the hell out of every purchase, including this one. Most pole saws I looked at I would consider homeowner grade junk. I'm not a professional arborist by trade but I am/was a tradesman for decades so I know a good tool from a crap tool. My property has roughly 40 trees that need trimming about twice a year and most of those branches are around 2" or less in diameter. I purchase the 6amp hour battery package and get roughly 4.5hrs of total runtime or the equivalent of my max amount of using a pole saw without a break.
