Review: Works better than expected. - I keep 2 five gallon jugs of water in my truck with a water pump hooked up to them. After a few weeks the water started tasting bad. Got this filter and ran it inline with the pump. Easy install, doesn’t take up much room, and a fair price. The first few ounces that pumped out was charcoal grey but cleared up quickly and it hasn’t happened again. Water taste so much better now, it didn’t slow the flow any, and there are no visible leaks. I’d recommend.

**Q: I used this for 3 months before my water started reading 100ppm, and I'm a very light user. It advertises 5 years. Why is there a huge discrepancy?**
A: 50-150 ppm is considered excellent drinking water. Are you using this with a fridge that has an internal filter? If so, did you change it at the same time?

**Q: Is it made in USA?**
A: It is NOT made in the USA!  From the label on box: "Made in China, No. 13, Yishengbai Road Jimo, Qingdao, China".  I bought this filter from all the filters on Amazon, because the answer to this question was "Yes, it's made in USA".

**Q: I have 1/4" pex tubing for my water line. how to i connect this? the 1/4" poly tubing od is smaller than the pex.**
A: My 1/4 inch just pushed into the filter and all was fine.

**Q: Will this filter reduce the amount of bacteria and germs?**
A: The answer is NO. This filter is not designed to do that. To remove germs and bacteria you need ultrafiltration system. reverse Osmosis and many others.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy remedy to improve the taste of your water

I added this as an extra filtration to my fridge's internal filter and the result is a noticeably cleaner tasting ice and water from dispenser. Install was also a breeze. I have a counter depth style fridge so installing it on top was my best option using the hardware that came with the filter. Not sure about the 5 year replacement interval claim though. My household uses an average of 6-8 gals of water from the fridge dispenser daily. I guess we'll find out... however, the cost is worthwhile just for the water quality improvement alone
