AMACO Potters Choice Ancient Jasper Glaze of 1 pint capacity is used to achieve authentic reduction fire effects in your electric kiln. Glaze can be used alone or layered with other materials to create a unique look. For best results, apply on Cone 04 bisque. High Fire Glazes, Cone 5-6. Lead free.

Review: Great glaze, didnt run! - As a beginner hobby potter, I was nervous about buying glazes and having them run in the studio kiln and damaging the shelves. I just got my first pieces out and not one had a run! I did 9 bowls with this glaze and they range from light blue with green to a more turquoise color. I thinned it down a little with water because it was pretty thick when i got it and i think those pieces turned out better. Easy to brush on!
Review: Great glittery black for high fire - Love this glaze. I use it at a community kiln fired to cone 6, and with 4 coats it came out great on several projects. Cool shimmery black that breaks dark bronze on texture. I did not have any issues with this glaze running (which I definitely can't say the same for some of the other "Cosmic" glazes).

**Q: Can this glaze go on oven cookware (is it heat resistant)?**
A: Hi!  This glaze is for use on bisque fired pottery and must be fired in a kiln that goes to at least 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.  If your clay is the right type and its fired properly it is completely food and oven safe.  I hope that helps.

**Q: the "product features" section above on this page say fire to cone 04 yet people are talking about cone 6...which is it?**
A: You bisque fire to cone 04, apply the glaze and then fire to cone 5-6.

**Q: It says apply to a cone 04 bisque, but then fire at cone 5/6? To clarify - the clay would have to be a cone 5-6 clay, fired to 04 (bisque phase)?**
A: I use either a cone 5 or a cone 10 clay. No difference in the glaze effect. But the glaze kiln needs to be fired to cone 5-6. Apply the glaze in a very heavy coat for the reds to come through.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amaco Sienna on Standard 112 Clay

I am so excited to see this color come out of the kiln and I will update this with a picture of it on a piece of Standard 112 midfire clay. It seemed like the perfect color for fall and pumpkins. Amaco always makes great colors (especially PC). It was easy to apply and went on smoothly. I am excited to see what it looks like fired. Amaco glazes always seem a bit pricey to me, but do always have good results- so we will see!
