I wore it hiking Mount Lafayette in New Hampshire during winter with snow, and it handled everything I put it through. At different points I was sliding through the snow and even ended up hitting rocks and trees along the way. I honestly expected to find at least some scratches or damage afterward, but the jacket never ripped or got torn up. That alone showed me how durable it is. It also kept me very warm and did a great job with the snow and moisture. From my experience it has been very waterproof, but it’s still comfortable enough to move around in while hiking. The pockets are useful and comfortable too, especially when you’re outside for a long time. After actually putting it through a winter mountain hike, I’m extremely happy with it. I’m planning on buying another one in a different color this year just so I can have some variety.
