Demands Constant Attention
I have had HP calculators for the past 25 years and was always happy about them. Exception is made to this one that I bought. Many times you press the number buttons but no number appears on the screen, leading you to be abliged to pay constant attention and check all numbers typed everytime you make a calculation. Because of that, I have tried as much as possible not to use this calculator. I have to take it to a HP representative to fix it, but I do not have time for that. I had bought a slightly different version, but the seller delivered the wrong model and convinced me to keep it by giving me a discount. I should not have accepted his offer but my flight back to Brazil would be in two days and there would be not enought time to receive the right model within the short timeframe I had. Sometimes I guess that the product may has been refurbished prior it was sold to me as a new one (just a guessing).I reccomend the HP brand, but do not feel comfortable to reccomend neither this specific product nor the seller.

HP 17bII+ Financial Calculator
I bought this calculator because I found the HP 12C a bit too complicated to use. The only reason for that is it only used RPN while the HP 17bII+ will work in algebraic or PRN modes making it more versatile than the 12C. The HP 17bII+ is also programmable which added to its appeal for me. I still use both models but I am faster at making my calculations on the 17bII+ than the 12C. If you are planning on taking any of the high end financial exams, then you need to know how to use the 12C, as most will not permit the use of calculators like the 17bII+. That should give you some idea of its capabilities.

HP financial calculator - 17BII+
I had the HP 17B II for many years and it finally died. It wasn't available anymore so I figured I should buy the "+" since I was hoping it would be essentially the same calculator. I wasn't looking to reinvent the wheel, I just wanted a good calculator that I could use when I wasn't using Excel on the computer. It has been the perfect acquisition. The real test will be how long will the batteries last as well as the calculator, but for the month I've owned it, it is working quite satisfactorily.

Delivered a different product
Hey all, beware of this supplier. What you see is not what yhou get. I was sent a calculator different from what you have in this picture. Perhaps, an older version. Battery was almost dead upon delivery and i had to get new batteries. Overall, i was dissatisfied.

Terrible Touch-Sensitivity
The touch sensitivity on this calculator is so bad, I can't type in numbers for fear of them not getting registered. It is frustrating when you're in meetings, trying to calculate something, only to have trouble inputing into the device. I used to have the HP 17BII, and that one was heaven. Solid as a rock, but it seems that when they made this new model and added a "+" sign to the title, they had it manufactured using cheap parts and shoddy craftmanship.Don't buy this. Awful.
