I ordered the small and it was true to size. If you want multiple or thick layers, I'd go up one side. I ordered the flax color, which was a bit more silver than tan in person. It has a bit of sheen, but is not incredibly shiny, which I liked.I like that this jacket has 2 zipped outer pockets, 2 deep open inner pockets, and that it is not very bulky. I did not like the boxy appearance through the shoulders. Also, the wrists are not elastic, nor is there a wrist liner, which I foresee being cold when temperatures drop. They are identically sewn, but with these differences:The Calvin Klein was more expensive, their flax was like oatmeal color, no zippers at the pockets, the nylon fabric was MUCH thinner (will probably snagg easier), felt very soft.The Haven jacket flax color is more grey metal with earth tone to it (pretty). The nylon fabric is thicker and feels very luxurious. The Haven jacket has pocket zippers.I would say if you were going to use the jacket back packing and weight was your primary concern - go for the Calvin Klein.If weight is not going to be an issue, I would go for the Haven jacket. It just seems like a better quality jacket for less money.Sizing: I'm 5'9" and 160lbs. The Large fit the best (ordered M, L, and XL to try on) for my long arms and broad shoulders. The reviews on this coat were good so I decided to order it even though it looked shorter than I was searching for. I ordered a large -- she is a size 10/12 petite. It fits well except for maybe the arms being slightly long, which easily roll if needed. I tried it on when I got it I'm a 14 (sometimes 16) and I could actually wear it though it would be snug. But when I tried it on..........WOW.........it does feel very luxurious as someone else put in their review.
