Seeing a need for high quality capo options, Bluegrass enthusiast Bryan Paige set out to create a handmade capo, alongside his father. The demand for the new "Paige Capo" grew quickly through word of mouth as Bryan traveled to various Bluegrass events. As demand grew, Bryan opened a small machine shop in Jonesville, Michigan, and patented his innovative Paige Capo design. Several patents, awards, and product lines later, the Paige Capo is one of the most trusted capos on the market today. Today, Bryan and Lisa Paige still play music, craft capos, and create new products right from their North Carolina property. Will this capo keep my guitar in tune? Yes. The adjustable tension screw and center-tension design apply even pressure across all strings, helping prevent them from being pulled out of tune while maintaining clear tone. Why choose an adjustable capo over a spring capo? Adjustable tension applies only the pressure needed for better tuning and less string wear. Will this capo cause string buzz? No. The center-tension saddle and silicone-lined radiused bar distribute even pressure across every string, creating a secure, buzz-free fit without muting notes. Is this capo easy to move between frets? Yes. The yoke design lets you reposition quickly while keeping your settings consistent. Will it fit my acoustic guitar? This capo is designed to fit most 6-string acoustic guitars with a standard 16" radiused fretboard, providing a secure fit and even string pressure. ## Features - Precision Craftsmanship – Manufactured in the USA with exact measurements, delivering consistent performance, durability, and dependable intonation for all levels of musicians. - Upgraded Components – Features replaceable tinted tubing, smooth-action clip, and felt-lined contact points to protect finishes while ensuring long-term reliability. - Balanced Pressure Control – Engineered to distribute force evenly across strings, reducing unwanted vibration while preserving clarity and sustain. - Fast, Flexible Positioning – Easily adjusts along the fretboard and stores discreetly behind the nut when not in use, keeping transitions smooth during play. - Secure, Accurate Fit – Designed for standard neck profiles, delivering stable placement and clean tone across multiple fret positions. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B001GDJQTG | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,119 in Musical Instruments (See Top 100 in Musical Instruments) #15 in Guitar Capos | | Brand Name | Paige | | Color | Smokey Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (1,695) 4.5 out of 5 stars | | Finish Type | Polished | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00180688000018 | | Grip Material | Rubber | | Instrument | Accoustic Guitar | | Item Dimensions | 4.4 x 2.5 x 0.4 inches | | Item Highlight | Handmade in the USA, Adjustable Screw and Direct Center Tension Saddle, Radiused Bar, Secure Latch, Felt-Lined Protection | | Item Type Name | Acoustic Guitar Capo | | Item Weight | 0.04 kg | | Manufacturer | KMC Music Inc | | Manufacturer Part Number | P6E | | Material Type | Nickel-plated steel | | Model Number | P6E | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Product Style | Paige Original | | Size | Width 2 1/16, Open Depth 1 1/8, Closed Depth 11/16 | | Upc | 180688000018 074994227224 133588806044 | | Warranty Description | 30 days. | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Paige - **Color:** Smokey Black - **Item Weight:** 0.04 kg - **Material:** Nickel-plated steel - **Style:** Paige Original ## Images ![Paige 6-String Acoustic Guitar Capo, Smokey Black Finish - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61KWsFTrEhL.jpg) ![Paige 6-String Acoustic Guitar Capo, Smokey Black Finish - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61nhl+Z-+yL.jpg) ![Paige 6-String Acoustic Guitar Capo, Smokey Black Finish - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61SMVvb+0LL.jpg) ![Paige 6-String Acoustic Guitar Capo, Smokey Black Finish - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/611KjxcZ+0L.jpg) ![Paige 6-String Acoustic Guitar Capo, Smokey Black Finish - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71aIXIF+IZL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this capo keep my guitar in tune?** A: Yes. The only. *by on Reviewed in the United States November 17, 2024* Waited way too long to get this just exactly perfect capo. Story - A Sam ash sales associate let me use his personal one many many months ago when I was test driving an expensive Taylor n store; he said make sure you give it back. SMOOTH … I didn’t want to give it back to him of course I did. No sam ash didn’t sell them). Lazy me with a box of assorted capos told myself next day ah don’t need another capo.Wrong. Show last week took me 30 seconds (an eternity) Puttin a capo on first fret with no buzz and in tune …. ENOUGH! Amazon when I get home and find one of these !!This capo has taken away all my on stage performing anxiety about “OK this next tune requires a capo” and then fidgeting and praying for no issues tension tuning when I drop the capo clamp onto the neck telling the same stupid tales while I fidgetThe design is logically perfect. Compact (doesn’t ever get in the way) even pressure (no worries over just one string buzzing out nor one string being out of tune etc) + adjustable tension (use perfectly on any guitar no matter what the set up ) quick as a jackrabbit to confidently slide to any fret, even quick store it behind the nut (a couple of turns and off you go) bottom line all your capo worries / issues are magically gone.Buying two more just to have available for multiple guitars; and likely a few more to give as Christmas gifts Worth every penny, especially if you say the same tentative prayer I silently say when I (used to) put on the standard squeeze clamp capos.Get real. Get one. You will not return it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best capo and probably the last capo I will own *by on Reviewed in the United States October 12, 2026* Best capo ever. I've bought many capos in my lifetime, but I do not know where they are, or they are stowed away with my guitar case. Since it conveniently sits on the neck (without being an eyesore) when I'm not using it, I am able to play more songs with capo without ever having worry about its where abouts. My only caveat is that it does not fit on a classical guitar because of its wide neck ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This capo exceeded my expectations. Get it! *by on Reviewed in the United States March 5, 2025* I've been playing guitar for 35 years and have used many many different capos. None of them come close to this Paige capo in terms of both quality and performance. First of all, I did not expect it to be as small as it was. Like, at first I thought Amazon accidentally sent me a mandolin capo. However, it fit just fine on my Martin HD-28. It's the perfect size. It's super light, but it works incredibly well. I don't feel it whatsoever when I'm playing, which has not been the case with bigger, bulkier spring-based capos. And it operates just flawlessly. I can adjust the tension so it fits in just the right spot and isn't too tight or too loose on the strings, which means intonation is spot on when using it. And when I'm not using it, it slides behind the nut with only a few seconds needed to switch. I am incredibly glad I purchased this capo and highly recommend it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Paige 6-String Guitar Capo – Smokey Black, Proudly Made in the USA – Adjustable Tension, Ultra-Thin Design – Fits Standard Acoustic Guitars - D'Addario Guitar Tuner - NS Micro Soundhole Tuner - Fits in Guitar Sound Hole - For Acoustic Guitars, Ukuleles - Non Marring Sound Hole Clip - Quick & Accurate Tuning - D'Addario Accessories Pro-Winder Guitar String Winder, Cutter, Bridge Pin Puller - All in One Guitar Tool - Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/1867557-paige-6-string-acoustic-guitar-capo-smokey-black-finish](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/1867557-paige-6-string-acoustic-guitar-capo-smokey-black-finish) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
