They seemed a bit muddy. Mid-range heavy and lacking in low bass and treble. There was also a low hiss when no audio was playing. I've done a lot of audio production work, and I'm sensitive and attentive when listening to music. I decided I would send the speakers back in a week and try different ones. While researching power conditioners I spotted this replacement power supply. This more expensive version matched the 12v/2amp power supply of my new speakers. I decided it would be an interesting experiment before sending the speakers back. I was fully expecting to return them both. Plugged it in. The background hiss was gone. Started playing some tracks on Tidal and found myself really enjoying those new speakers. They sound full, clear, detailed, with extra range. I wouldn't have said that yesterday.
