Bronze is a perfect match until it oxidizes so I mix it with medium for the perfect shade. Bronze will be flexible across a wide range of skin tones. Matte formula is perfect on its own, more like a satin matte finish. I think matte has less pigment than bronze. Both are easy to apply and reapply, blends nicely, zero white cast- no Casper. What I liked: I really like the finish on these. I have oily skin and these work well for me. They don’t burn my eyes. Bronze gives a little glow while matte tones down the shine but it’s not too matte, more like satin matte. I can wear matte on its own but I have to mix bronze with medium because it oxidizes after a few minutes. These are both great options for daily wear. What could be better: I wouldn’t change anything about the matte formula. But it can get thick after several reapplications. I wish the bronze formula didn’t oxidize. While it doesn’t oxidize every time, you just never know when it will. But mixing it with medium helps to keep it chill. Skin tone: For reference, I usually have to mix shades to get my perfect match. But my skin tone tans very easily and is lighter in winter, darker in summer. So I mix medium with bronze or tan. Does not irritate. *by M***A on April 1, 2026* My skin is medium/dark tan with pink undertone and is sensitive/ rash prone. I purchased this because it was listed on folliculitisscout.com as a sunscreen that does not cause skin irritation. It does not irritate at all and does not have any ingredients that would flare eczema / rosacea/ psoriasis/seborrheic acne/ etc. This sunscreen is very much like a sheer foundation. ( I chose matte) I was afraid it might look too much like makeup, which I really didn't want. I wanted a natural look without having the ghost pale look of sunscreen. This was perfect for my skin. Blended in perfectly without looking like sunscreen or makeup. It has a very nice finish. It is described as matte, but I would call it a natural finish, not too overly matte. I took five different face sunscreens on my most recent vacation and ended up using only this. It is pricey but good!
