Review: This Grandma is very pleased with the Gazelle Supreme - I've had the Gazelle Supreme for a little over a month. I am a 50-something grandmother. Because I work from home, I wanted a piece of equipment that would allow me to take frequent breaks throughout the day to get in a quick cardio workout. I use this machine 2-3 times per day for 10-15 minutes per session for 4-5 days per week. It is getting me up and moving whether or not I have the time to get to the gym. This is what I love about it. I also have to admit that it's really fun. You get the sensation of running very fast even though you're not -- and when you haven't been able to actually run in many years, it's a really great feeling. The Gazelle takes up little floor space, and it can be moved by tipping it forward and pushing it. It is surprisingly heavy, but that's a good thing -- it means the equipment is sturdy and substantial. You will want an extra set of hands to lift this out of the box and assemble it -- and preferably someone handy with tools and good at reading instructions. I have used both a treadmill and an elliptical for many years. With advancing age, I have begun to lose muscle mass and have had increased joint pain which has caused me to search for ways to get in some cardio exercise that is more gentle to my body. My first pick would be a treadmill, but the expense of a good quality treadmill was out of my budget. The Gazelle was in my price range, and it reminded me somewhat of an elliptical machine because of the gliding motion. However, it's nothing like an elliptical -- an elliptical is still on my wish list -- but the Gazelle is fun, provides me with a quick and gentle cardio boost and I have not grown bored with it whatsoever. As a matter of fact, I look forward to each session. I bought the version with the pistons for added resistance. The pistons do what they are intended to do -- they do provide extra resistance, and you can definitely feel it. You can easily detach the pistons when you do not want to use them. I recommend detaching the pistons for the first week -- or until you are ready -- because the resistance provided by the pistons was a little hard on the knees and hips during my first week of using it. This would not be a problem for the average person who is in good physical condition, but it is something that people with joint pain in the knees and hips should know. I now use the pistons every other day for about 5 minutes to help tone my legs. I won't necessarily say the Gazelle provides a "whole body" workout because my lower back and upper abs/chest still need supplemental exercise apart from the Gazelle. But, it is helping my thighs, calves, buttocks, lower abs and biceps -- I can see and feel a difference. Most importantly, it is giving me a good, easy cardio workout that is totally do-able. I do get enough of a workout to actually sweat after 5 minutes, and I am very pleased with the purchase.
Review: Surprisingly it is really useful - It’s the model that comes with a set-resistance piston. (Not the adjustable pistons you can order, although I plan to order those probably.) I really like it a lot it’s great especially for the price, except it can make me sort of quasi/slightly seasick; however I don’t think it’s the equipment, it’s me as I am prone to motion sickness. It doesn’t get in the way, if I use it for HIIT workouts lasting 20 or 25 minutes, and keep my vision focused on watcing the pedals and handles. I can’t do long and slow- I would get nauseated; so it’s OK for the slow part of HIIT, but I just get off of it and walk around the room to do a cool down. I doubt most people would have a problem with that though. (I read hundreds of reviews of gazelle gliders before buying it and the inly similar thing I saw was one woman who eventually developed vertigo a few minths into using it, which resolved when she stopped using it.) For reference, I’m a 55-year-old normal weight woman active and have worked out with weights yoga aerobic actinvities and been in pretty good shape most of my life but recently laid off working out regularly for over three years. That being said I have resumed doing some things and I am still in some shape for example, just for a reference, I hike with significant elevation gains, is in the foothills around Denver, and an 8 mile+ hike takes me about 3 to 3 1/2 hours round-trip to complete (so including uphill and downhill). Might be considered pretty good in a lot of places, but not here in the Denver/Boulder Front Range area:) Here, some people are trail running past me! Or riding up on a unicycle! I purchased it despite qualms anout it being inexpensive potentially useless and all the cheesy commercials, because I wasn’t sure I would really use equipment in my basement (which was the only place I had to put it). I had been looking at a nice TRUE Elliptical but I didn’t want to spend all that money and have delivery men put move such a heavy difficult to relocate treadmill down in basement laundry room if I might not use it. Thos glider with pistons is good enough that I won’t buy the treadmill, since I only use itbto supplement other activities. I can definitely work up a sweat pushing myself on intervals quite easily. If ot wasn’t for the queasy thing I’d be using it all the time. I have never tried it detaching the pistons, which is an option (they offer a pretty good amount of resistance actually). My guess would be without the pistons it would take a lot of mental concentration to make myself go continously fast enough to really get my heart rate up, similar to speed walking. If it eventually gets too easy I will order the adjustable pistons or just add wrapping a bungee cord around it like I have read about other people doing on the glider that comes with no pistons. If it was something I could use more regularly I would order those pistons now. It would be worth 90 or $100 to have them to be able to go through different ranges of resistance. For me this one is currently significant amount of resistance with the pistons, and I think would be way too light without them.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice exercise machine ... but beware of inside measurements
*by B***1 on January 30, 2021*

I purchased the Gazelle supreme after using a similar machine that is part of and outdoors park exercise center and loved it since it was the only machine that did not aggravate my severe arthritis (hips, knees and feet) that have caused me to gain so much weight...agh Actual review: I just received and set up the gazelle supreme and its super sturdy (does not rock during use)and its pretty darn quiet but (not quiet free) this isn’t possible but its not so loud you can’t hear the TV. I also learnt the hard way that the resistance pistons should only be used (they detach and reattach easy) during muscle exercise especially for a beginners. My only criticism is the inside measurements are pretty tiny for a machine that holds a 300 pound person and this issue comes from the big metal arms that hold the wire that attaches to the back of the petals. In other words if your on the shorter side and have a bigger hip and butt area (like me) this will be a tight fit but not and uncomfortable tight you can still move it just seems like a very stupid design when they made it to hold up to a 300lbs person, last time I checked 300 pound person is pretty beefy.
