This thing is sorta dangerous and quite big.
First off... it works great. It does exactly what it's designed to do. That said, it has zero safety features and is actually kinda dangerous. Just be careful with it.

Useless!
As soon as I filled it with butane, I could hear gas escaping. I checked to make sure it was fully in the off position, it was. I could light it. The flame was huge and already being in the off position(!) there was no way to make it smaller. So, I blew the flame out and put the torch outside until it was fully drained. So, it is only usable if you want a very large flame and can guess the exact amount of butane you need. I just sent a note to the company asking if there is some way I can fix this. I’ll update this rating if I receive an appropriate response. It better not be the basic instructions for turning it on and off. I am very experienced with pencil torches, I know how to turn them on and off!

Easy to use. Make sure you have can of butane handy..i
I use this torch for light weight soldering and repairs. I also make small glass animals from glass rods. These torches are real easy to use, they burn for quite awhile, and they have a fairly long life if not abused. I had one for about 9 to 10 years. For the price that's really a bargain.

Unfortunately, not so great.
I liked the size and it’s light weight. The flame was nice and hot and it worked great for soldering jewelry…..which I only used it once. I’ve never left a bad review before but…The biggest downfall is that once it was lit, I couldn’t get the flame to turn off. You have to twist it to close to keep the gas from coming out..but no matter what I did to close it, the butane gas continued to leak out. I was able to manually blow the flame out. The valve must have been broken or defective. I basically had to make sure I let all the gas out of it before I could dispose it…I couldn’t just put it down and walk away, Unfortunately because of this, I didn’t feel comfortable sending it back to the company in the mail for a refund. leaving it leaking like that was definitely a fire hazard.
