The system thinks its getting an off signal from the remote. **Q: This device is not, repeat not to be connected to an inverter.... why? if the current draw is < 100 amps for the 12/24/100a model?** A: I don't have an official answer but I suspect it is due to the large inrush requirements of inverters. They pull very high amps for the first few milliseconds while their capacitors charge. This is a solid state device, not a diode so it can't take any abuse. Also be aware that Smart Battery Protects will melt on reverse polarity. **Q: Can it be set up to do low temp shutdown?** A: No. It doesn't do anything regarding temperature.
