I plan to stand on it for balancing exercises. Will this work for that purpose?** A: I don't have this product yet, but I did buy the Revolution Fit balance board. It seems standing on this ball might be dangerous. If you get the full RF board package, there will be plenty of room for advanced balance exercises. Just my opinion. **Q: How solid is this ball? I plan to use it to roll out my glutes (i.e. I don't want it to compress when I put weight on it).** A: Just used this ball to roll out glutes and adductors at PT today.. 8 lb they bought it specifically for this ..great compared to trying these areas with foam roller **Q: About the shipping information, does the ball come inflated or deflated?** A: This is a weighted ball, there is no inflating to be done. Ready to use out of the package. **Q: Any suggestions for selecting the right size/weight ball? Is there a correlation to body size, amount lifted, etc.?** A: Depends on your current level of fitness; since you are asking, I'm assuming that your level is on the beginner side so I would suggest anywhere from 8 - 12 pounds.
