Product description Camlock fittings are couplings that allow users to quickly connect or disconnect pipe, hose or tubing without tools. Cam and groove fittings are also know as camlock fittings or couplings. These couplings consist of a grooved male adapter and a female cam coupler with handles or arms. Type DC Cam and Groove Fitting This type DC camlock (Cam and Groove) fitting has a female quick connect coupling that attaches to and standard male cam and groove coupling. The body is made of aluminum. Aluminum cam lock fittings are lightweight and are corrosion and abrasion resistant. This fitting’s seal is made of NBR (Buna-N) rubber. Excellent product but you have to carefully read the schematic and ensure it will fit on your connection. I have no idea what the 2 1/2 means but the key measurement to apply was 2". Easily returned and the company provided a prompt replacement.
