Great value
I've had this drill for about two weeks now. I bought the floor model. This is the first drill press I've personally owned so I don't have experience with other models to compare. But I am very pleased with this machine. Easy to assemble, it is heavy but I still managed to do it all by myself, though it would be wise to have a partner help out. Instructions recommend you mount the base to 3/4" plywood for stability. It has a pretty narrow base for how too heavy it is so the plywood is necessary if you're not bolting this into the floor. I use this drill primarily for woodworking and it's got plenty of power for my needs. The versatility and functionality of this drill is fantastic. Nice smooth pressing action, sturdy depth stop, feels like a well built machine.

Good product, would have been better if it had not been damaged during shipping.
Product was damaged when it arrived. The box had clearly been dropped and the top of the drill press needed to be bent back in shape. It worked just fine aside from that. Ensure you are able to download and print the instructions a they do not come with the drill press. The mobile base was tough to put together because the instructions were errant. They did not correctly state that the screws had to be put together backwards before putting them in correctly as the nylon had not been threaded. The support team assured me that they were updating instructions to correct the error. It has been awhile since I purchased this item. I would recommend it if you are looking for an inexpensive drill press that is versatile and not hard to operate, this is a good product for the money.

Rough shipping, no instructions, works good but time will tell
As previous posters cautioned the shipping is poor. There were holes in the box, it was barely held together. Styrofoam was in pieces and parts rubbed together in shipping rubbing off the powder coat. There were no instructions in the box, but mechanically inclined people should be able to get it together. You will need a way to press the chuck on to the drive shaft.The good is that once together and adjusted the press is impressive. Good power, very adjustable, but to tilt the table you need tools. Not a big deal. The motor was plently powerful for wood, i did not test metal but think it would do fine for normal use. Its adjustable nature means to do percision work you need to tighten all levers down. But it did work for my purposes.

Love it but am lucky it came undamaged.
Love it! Made in China but looks and performs to American standards. HOWEVER: the packaging it was shipped in was absolute crap! I'm very lucky I got all the pieces because the poor quality thoughtless Chinese cardboard and packaging was a mess. It really would have been more secure if they had dumped all the heavy parts in a large paper bag.

Do not WASTE your money.
Pros:The up and down crank for the round plate/table is smooth. The head moves back and forth smoothly. The band used to adjust the speed is easy to move/adjust.Cons: EVERYTHING ELSEThe chuck never accepts the bit evenly, never goes in straight.The base's mounting holes were not threaded in two of the holes. The bolts that came with the mounting hardware were only threaded halfway down. We bought our own bolts.This thing has no power. As soon as the bit touches the metal, the drill press stalls. This thing has one job and it can't do it.

for the price, this is a great tool
We purchased this primarily to drill glass with a sintered, water feed glass drill. Set up was easy, it has been preforming well for the 6 months it has been in our shop; it gets much more use/abuse than a piece of hobby equipment should but it's well build and surviving the harsh environment of the glass shop.

Very Versatile Tool!
If you have only ever used regular straight drill presses this take a bit of getting used to but it will open up an entire world of new possibilities. Your ability to sink a whole almost anywhere you want to is amazing. Great power, smooth operation. You will need to bolt this unit down securely to a bench or table.
