Simple, Effective, & As Advertised. Worth the $25 they cost.
Well, these boot dryers are a simple device - essentially little heaters, but they get the job done.- They are small enough to jam in you spare boots or shoes and travel with (including the power cord).- They are silent in operation. Of course this also means no fan is involved. A fan would make them dry boots faster, but would make noise [shrug].Each side has a small red led. The led is a standard red led, not any super-bright blue or other type of led which seems so popular on devices now. This is a good thing to me as the led indicates it is on, but is not bright enough to be annoying when the boots are drying over night next to your bed. In boots the light becomes largely invisible inside.- They seem relatively durable. These boot dryers are not ruggedized or anything, but they feel well built. Dropping them off of a table or out of your hand onto a tile floor did not break mine. That said, I wouldn't try torture testing them under a truck tire or any thing of that nature.- They get warm, not hot. These are not your commercial-grade air-circulating boot dryers, they take longer than that, but they help dry out shoes and boots a lot. They make a very noticeable difference and are easy to pack, so they are winners as far as I am concerned.Worth the ~$25? Yes.

works but packaging was sketchy
works as expected. would recommend to a friend. shape works well for shoes, boots, mittens. Pkg was sketchy, had been opened and 3/4 of the product paperwork inside the plastic clamshell was missing. I was skeptical if they would work, and they did meet my expectations.

Does not work in the car or on 12 volts
From the product description: "AC/DC power adaptor means it can be used at home or in the car..."I can tell you after having just received it that this absolutely cannot work in the car on DC power. This product only comes with 120 volt AC power cord. What a waste of time.

Does the job
I read it didn’t have a DC power adapter, so I had a feeling I knew what was coming. This is still the case. Seller should just remove that from the description as it would be misleading to some. However, since I run a DC to AC inverter in my truck this is still not an issue as I can still use these portably, which is why I purchased. I bought these to help the drying process of my fishing boots coming back from rivers and lakes to help speed up the process to storing everything. They work out pretty well. Doesn’t fully dry on the dry, which I expected being totally soaked. I bet a sweaty pair of ski/snowboard boots would be fairly dry depending on the drive distance (for me about an hour or two). I would recommend for people.

Works well but no 12volt adapter
Not sure if they just cut and pasted the description from the $44 model but it states that these come with a 12 volt adapter for use in the car. Mine did not come with this. Aside from that they seem to heat up (takes a few minutes for heat) and dry my ski boots without issue

One of my favorite purchases ever! No more stinky shoes!!!
I originally bought these for my daughter's sailing boots– to dry them out overnight when we're traveling for regattas so she doesn't have to put wet boots on in the morning. They are perfect and work great for that. But in addition, I use them all the time for running sneakers and any other footwear that I want to throw in the wash. I used to think stinky running sneakers was just something we had to accept. Even after washing them and letting them air dry (or trying to use my dryer's "air dry" cycle), they stil seemed to smell quickly after the next use. I had tried various "remedies"... those little air freshener balls made specificially for sports equipment, essential oils on cotton balls, etc. With a little research, I learned the reason for smelly footwear: "...damp, unventilated shoes are the perfect environment for bacterial and fungal growth. Bacteria produce organic acid waste that does smell..." So the key is after throwing them in the washing machine, you MUST get them absolutely DRY before wearing them again. That's where "DryGuy" comes in! I take the shoes out of the washer, put the Shoe Dryer in overnight, and they are completely dry by the morning. Since this purchase about a year ago, we haven't had a single smelly shoe in this house of hardworking athletes!

Great OVERNIGHT dryer
These were a lifesaver for my sailor's boots in cooler climates. Just need to have them warm overnight but once you know that they are fantastic!
