Review: Great little gift - Package arrived nicely, and in perfect shape to give as a gift for my 6 year old cousin. I cut the tape on the bottom, and wanted to examine the paint before giving it as a gift. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t dried up as in some of the reviews. The paint was packaged in a clear wrap and I removed that and opened each cup. The paint is fine :) I also took a picture with my adult hand for size reference. I did expect them to be slightly larger, but they are still worth the very reasonable price so I will not take off any stars for that. To a 6 year old, it’s probably around the right size. I will say I did notice the horses had a little scuffing on them but I’m not sure if that came through on the picture. It’s not really a scratch- more of a scuff. I will not take off stars, because that doesn’t really matter either if it’s going to be painted over. I will say, I’m not sure if I would buy this for older kids (say 11+ in age) just because the horses look slightly cartoony as you can see in the picture. All in all, I am happy and it will make a great gift, and it was a great price.

The 8 year old female recipient loves horses so she was thrilled to receive it, and she painted it right away. She had a lot of fun painting and displaying her figurines! Sheerness does not describe the figurines, which is a good thing. They are white, not sheer prior to painting. Thickness is as expected for little figurines. They are cute and she loves them! I would recommend this craft set for young children.
