Pursonic S450 Deluxe Plus Rechargeable Sonic Electric Toothbrush with built in UV Sanitizer and bonus 12 brush heads included, Silver

I've had the Pursonic S450 for about 3 weeks now and I am very satisfied with my purchase. A fantastic deal! When I purchased it from Amazon I got it for less than $50. It has a little weight to it and does not feel cheaply made at all. Although it does feel like it's made of mostly plastic but that doesn't bother me. This is my first electric toothbrush so it took a few brushes for me to get use to it and I really can't compare it to the higher end Sonic toothbrushes. I haven't experienced any of the negative things I've read in some of the reviews. I like the covered storage compartment and the fact that it has a lift out tray and if the ultra violet light really does sanitize the heads, well thats a bonus to me. I turn the brush on and rinse it very well under clean tap water when I'm done brushing. The instruction pamphlet states the handle is waterproof and recommends cleaning under running water which is what I do. Then I wipe the handle and the shaft portion of the head with a dry towel prior to placing the head in the storage compartment and close the lid to activate the light so it will sanitize. I haven't had to take the tray out to clean it yet. No "gunk in the bottom of the tray." I think it was fully charged when I received it but I let it charge overnight before using it the next morning. That first brush was amazing. It really did feel like I just got my teeth professionally cleaned but looking back now I think a small part of that may be the vibration leaves parts of your mouth a little numb and that's related to the dental hygeinist. Maybe? The instructions says overcharging is not an issue and the charging handle can be placed in the base daily. I don't, and haven't had to charge it again since I got it. I use it twice a day on the gentle setting and the majority of the time I use it for 4 mins. I did get my teeth cleaned about two weeks prior to purchasing the S450 and I've noticed my teeth are staying whiter longer compared to when I was brushing with a standard toothbrush and I find less between my teeth when I floss. I like the reminder to promote brushing in quarters and 30 seconds per quarter. I do wish it didn't turn off after the fourth 30 seconds though. Not a con, just an inconvience. I just turn it back on. My dental hygienist has been suggesting I get a sonic toothbrush for some time but I just didn't like the price tag of the well known name brands. Their low end models were more expensive than this one and it's not Pursonic's low end model. The included 3 year supply of brushes saves me money also. I'll never go back to the traditional toothbrush. Maybe my next sonic toothbruch will be a Sonicare or Oral B, who knows, but I think at the very least the Pursonic S450 is a great way to be introduced to a sonic toothbrush.Update 29March:Battery went dead on me a few days ago for the first time. There was no warning that the battery was gettting low or needed a charge. After I finished brushing and was rinsing the brush and it stopped working. After charging of course it works just fine. So fully charged it last me 5 weeks. I still love it!

I had purchased the exact same brand (Pursonic) toothbrush about 5 years ago, I'm glad they still sell them and at a great price. I have Periodontal Disease (since early 2000's) and go 4 times a year for cleaning at my Periodontal dentist office. I recently was able to start again with my cleanings in a dentist office. I had stopped due to Covid in 2019 when the offices were closed. Both myself and the hygienist were nervous going in because I had not any cleanings in a few years and we were both expecting the worst. As it turns out - my teeth were not that bad at all and my pockets stayed the same. While I do floss (once a week), I know it was the Pursonic toothbrush that helped keep the Periodontal Disease at bay.

While this is my second Pursonic product, I wanted to use it for awhile before leaving a review(purchased in early July). As I just mentioned, this is the second Pursonic rechargeable toothbrush I've purchased(the first was the S400), and I'm as impressed with this model as I was with my first(which, was given to my mom. It still works perfectly after over 3 years of use). This definitely has to be one of the best values going for a sonic toothbrush set, as 3 years' worth of brush heads are included. I like these units because they come with the covered toothbrush holder, which keeps everything a lot more tidy and sanitary. It also does a great job of brushing, the timer is perfect, the smallest amount of toothpaste is needed, and my teeth feel clean and smooth after every use, my gums are nice and healthy. I have absolutely no idea if the blue "sanitizing" light is doing anything but being an effective nightlight in the bathroom so I can see in the dark for those middle of the night bathroom visits, but I don't mind it otherwise. Keeping a paper towel handy for wiping the base clean of toothpaste, as well as quickly turning the base on then off after rinsing the brush (while the brush head is still attached to the base) flicks all water away and keeps any water or gunk pooling at the bottom of the brush holder and the charging base. I like this set very much, and Pursonic hasn't let me down yet.

Nice price and works great. The only thing,I have trouble getting the toothbrush head off. So I can change the toothbrush head.

I bought 3-4 of these years ago, but the product name was Diamond. When I needed another one, it wasn't found anywhere online, but I was looking under that name. I was forced to try other similar products, none of which were acceptable to me. I recently came across this product on Amazon bearing the name, Pursonic! It looked exactly like and was described as the Diamond I had used for years, so I immediately ordered it. I am pleased to say it is the same product. I haven't used it long enough to determine the battery life (?! it's electric and I keep it plugged in all the time, charging) or if the overall quality is the same, but the ones I had before lasted a long time, so I'm assuming this one is going to be the same. I am so relieved to have it back again! When you're accustomed to a certain toothbrush, nothing else on the market satisfies. I actually was looking for someone who could make one for me from the last one I had! I'm going to order another one to have on hand just in case they once again are not available. It's an absolute necessity in my daily life!

U light stopped working 2 months in. Didn't even make it a year.On edit: Now the toothbrush stopped charging. I've had this thing for barely 3 months.
