Terrible unreadable font
Who decided on the extra-thick comic sans type font for all the titles and headers? The print came out blurry and is essentially unreadable for visual or photographic learners. This was an amateur design decision for a $130 book. I wish I could return it.

Good review source.
Overall good review book. Some sections a bit basic. Organization of topics could be better. Older editions do not have an index which makes finding things impossible. Used with the first aid to improve sections that were slim.

Don’t waste your time
Some material is flat out wrong, while the rest is presented in a mess of poor formatting and typos. Seek help elsewhere.

Excellent! (Review for earlier edition)
I didn't use this edition, but I used a previous edition to study for both my initial pediatric boards and for my re-certification exam 10 years later. Excellent book. I especially liked the celebrity faces for genetic syndromes section. I refer to those images in my mind frequently. Also, the "perils," "phrase that pays," and "down to two choices" guideposts. Great quick tips that stayed in my brain. If Dr. Silverstein stops making this book, I may not be able to keep my certification! Thank you, Dr. Silverstein!

OVERWHELMINGLY GOOD - WORTH EVERY PENNY!
As a med student studying pediatrics, I found this prep book to be incredibly helpful for passing the boards. Dr. Silverstein's book is super easy to follow, with each chapter broken down to be clear and digestible. For anyone looking for an affordable pediatric prep book, that is painless and great study material, I highly recommend this one!
