The instructions were thorough for mounting, but as for the remote pairing I had to YouTube their company and figure it out that way. Important note: as you get ready to pair the remote, keep in mind there is a *small yellow insert piece that needs to be first removed* from the charging port of the shades (found on the lateral side) in order to properly pair the two. Then, follow the detailed instructions from their YouTube video. I followed the instructions to pair with the black triangular remote.
