My last cooler was really noisy, but this one was so quiet, at first I struggled to imagine it was going to be as powerful at cooling as the last one was. I was proven wrong! Wow, this really cools well! Under level 5, it's a gentle cool breeze that keeps the room a nice temperature but doesnt feel "cold," so you barely notice it, until you go outside and realize it's so darn hot out there, that the cooler did its job better than expected! I've never maxed it to level 10 except for once and I nearly froze myself. Level 7 gets quite chilly, really quick. You can keep it on, and it will adjust cooling level by itself automatically, switching from cooler to fan. Theres no thermostat unfortunately, but it doesnt need one. Standing right in front of it, doesnt seem like much power, compared to my old one, but it actually gets colder over a shorter period of time, so it's better as a cooler than as a fan. Very little noise, so it's great even at night. Dials have good solid construction and do not feel loose. My only issue was difficulty in installing it, but that was because I'm not good with tools at all, and my window was an odd size, so the extra window attachments didnt fit the window frame. But it still sits in the window perfectly and doesnt move or rattle. Your standard window frame will allow for proper and easier installation than my own experience. Very energy efficient too.

Lot of power in this little guy! I had been bugging my husband to put an ac in our bedroom for YEARS! I finally just went ahead and bought this one. It works REALLY well! We sleep SO much better now that it’s not 80 degrees in the bedroom all night! Super quiet. You barely hear it. The price was great and we are VERY happy campers in our nice, cool, bedroom!😍

My home office is separate from the house, up on a hill and in california we get a lot of direct sun in summer (and sometimes winter). my previous TCL aircon broke so i decided to go for more of a known brand. In short, it cools my room down very quickly and efficiently. it's a bit noisy but no worse than others i have had - it makes a whooshing background noise, not loud enough to bother my online meetings, but close to being a bit too loud.it was extremely easy to install, far easier than previous aircons i've used. it fits perfectly in my window - not sure what made it so much easier than the others but the brackets just fit together better i guess. in the end i didn't even need to screw it into the window, it's very secure already. an excellent installation experience and there are no appreciable gaps like with my last aircon.why only 4 starts? well, it doesn't have an electronic thermostat - no way to control and keep the temperature at a given value. i guess that was the tradeoff - a more well known and established brand rather than advanced features. i don't find this to be a major problem for me because i just leave it on a mid setting for most of the day, but i can imagine if you aren't in such a hot and dry area that the lack of a temperature control might pose a problem and it could be less energy efficient as a result.

Installed this in my upstairs bedroom when my central AC went out in 90+ degree weather. Temp in the room was 87 degrees at time of install and within 2 hrs was down to 72 degrees. Not a lot of noise on high but when you dial it back to about 7, the compressor will kick on/off depending upon temp and that can be a little noisy. This is supposed to be a 1 room AC unit but I got home yesterday and the wife had the bedroom door open with a fan blowing out of our room. Our room was still 74 degrees in the heat of the day, but so were the other 2 upstairs bedrooms. I'll be glad when the new central system is installed, but until then, I am quite happy with this unit. So much so, that I bought a second one for my downstairs. Also a GE, slightly larger at 8000 btu's, and it cools the whole downstairs.

I bought this AC for my bedroom. I have central AC, but only really care if it’s cold at night when I’m trying to sleep. Rather than wasting power cooling my entire house down to 70 degrees, I keep my central air at 78 and have this in my bedroom. It keeps my room nice and cool. It’s kind of noisy, but nothing crazy. For the money, it’s an awesome little unit to keep you cool at night!

It works great when it's hot outside but if it's cool outside, no matter the temperature inside it will not cool. It's becoming severely problematic now that it's getting to cool weather because the bedroom I have this installed in stays extremely hot. We're talking 80 before the furnace kicks on for the rest of the house.

Let me start out by saying this.. I live in a deplux on the first floor.. Sq feet 1,944. I put this in my living room window.. I left all the doors open on purpose.. "Bathroom and both bedrooms" Just to see how powerful it is.. Within 20 mins it was all in the living room.. Within an hour i can slowly feel it going to the other rooms. Then 2 hours later. it really felt like central air in the other rooms.. I did not EXPECT this little AC unit to be that POWERFUL!! My central air stopped working so it was an emergency to find something FAST! Before i got this.. My home was 89 degrees inside!! It's been in the 90's lately outside.. Ever since i brought this AC Unit.. Inside my home been anywhere between 69 to 75 Inside what a difference.. It was very easy to install which was a plus! One of my friends came over as soon when they walked in my front door.. They said u must of got your Central air fix lol i said nope that's the AC. They said OMG wow lol anyone that needs an AC and have kind of the same sq like i do.. This will definitely work!
