So I ordered these. They were inexpensive and had pretty good reviews. I was very pleasantly surprised. These work just as well as my dad's old sheet rock knives, which if I ever find again, are over 50 years old. These retract fully into the housing and extend with clicks to each preset point until fully extended. They are comfortable to hold, easy to use, and weigh a whole lot less than those missing knives. I love that these come with 10 replacement blades as well! I do get the dropsies at times and have needed to replace blades before they dull simply because the tips do break off when you drop the knife on a cement garage floor, or the kitchen tile floor, or the office tile floor. Yeah, my dad used to call me clumsy and forgetful quite often when I was growing up - I miss him every day.
