Great for diabetics
The toe box is wider than normal and soft. It’s a great material that doesn’t put pressure on sensitive toes. They appear fairly waterproof. My husband has been wearing these for years. They look nice and they have velcro so it’s easy for him to insert his leg brace and orthontics into the shoe. It’s much easier for him to put on than any other shoe he’s worn. They wipe off nice and last a very long time.

A must have!
These shoes are great! My hubby didn’t want to wear his slippers (like he usually wears everywhere) for this special occasion. They do not have that typical diabetic shoe look. He says they are incredibly comfortable. They came with extra inserts for when the feet aren’t as swollen. Well made. We’ve had them over a month now and they are still in good shape. I’ve already recommended them to a few friends and I highly recommend them for people who suffer ailments that swell the feet. And let me tell u, my hubby’s feet swell way more than the typical swollen foot. We got the extra wide and couldn’t even imagine a person needing a 2x wide but I’m sure if u are needing it these would be the perfect fit. No more buying shoes two sizes up in shoes anymore. Yay.

Great shoe
I'm a diabetic that needs a shoe that fits properly, is comfortable, soft but supportive, and easy to clean. I wear these on a daily basis. Excellent quality and easily cleaned. Meets all my needs. Was also a great bargain. It was $25 less than the shoes it replaced, but of equal or better quality. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately doesn't fit
I ordered these for my husband who is currently disabled. He is unsteady on his feet and has bad edema on top of foot especially. Very nice shoe well made and "looks" comfortable. They didn't fit and he couldn't get foot into them at all so fit and comfort can not be evaluated. The instep is way too high and they do not open wide enough(narrow) for him to even begin to get foot into them. His regular shoe size is 11 normal to wide depending on shoe. We ordered 2E. I am concerned ordering another size to accommodate the edema on top of foot will only make rest of shoe too big. I am giving 4 stars mainly because they didn't fit & I am unsure logistically how easy it they will be to return. They were shipped in a box that was placed into a large bag which I will need to replace before I can return unless I can find a box. Getting out isn't easy and why we ordered online. I am hoping a bag can be sent to me with return label.

Comfortable
This is the 3rd pair bought for my husband. He mostly wears them as slippers/house shoes. He finds them extremely comfortable and they fit his orthodics well. Importantly they do not cause any issues regarding blisters which is essential when you are a diabetic with previous ulcer issues.

Decent shoes, but not for Orthotics
Opening not big enough for my orthotics, returned.

These shoes have my 85 year old dad VERY happy
I purchased this shoe for my dad who has diabetes, arthritis and congestive heart failure (CHF). These three health problems affect his feet in the worse of ways; swelling, pain, pressure sores. After recently suffering a horrible pressure sore he just about didn't want to go anywhere if he had to wear shoes. Well I heard someone in the waiting room at an office talking about these. I came home and looked at the Amazon reviews and thought I'd get these for him to try. ITS A MIRACLE...he loves these shoes so much he almost will not take them off. He says he has NO pain wearing them. Even days where he has swelling, the shoes accommodate it without him even feeling any different. The sores he had on his feet have now healed. He says his feet feel better than he can ever remember them feeling. This such a joy for me to see my dad so happy with something like these shoes. If he is happy, I'm happier. He told his doctor that with these shoes on he feels like he isn't wearing them and like he is walking on cotton. YAY!

Dr. Comfort casual shoe.
Was initially very disappointed with the order as it did NOT arrive, though Amazon said it was delivered. I tracked thru FedEx, and they said it was delivered. An partially opened box did appear two days later, apparently whomever the box was delivered to found they couldn't use shoes my size and bothered to deliver to the addressee. FedEx delivery in Michigan has been horrible since Covid, maybe before too.Now that I've been able to try them on, I find them OK. Billed as "double depth shoe", don't believe it. I do have edema and had to remove the insole to get my foot inside...it's not double depth. Fortunately, the strap is velcro and adjustable on both sides, though not much to work with on the inner side. After a little adjustment, the velcro stays fastened well on the outside of the shoe. Even without the insole, it feels fairly comfortable, at least for short distances. I like the fact the heel is solid and not velcro like most of edema shoes; these feel sturdy, like they will last a long time. Still wish they had more depth as I think the insole would make these more comfortable. Maybe in time the shoe will stretch a bit and I can put them back in.I suggest anyone with a wide foot, high instep, and edema (like me), buy a size up from what you might ordinarily buy; do not trust the "double depth". I would recommend them as a purchase, if you can get FedEx to actually deliver them to you.
