I've used it heavily for 2 seasons and it has performed exceptionally well. It's easy to install and remove but I leave it on all season until it's time to replace it with the ski rack. The angle of the upright supports is adjustable and they fold down completely flat when not in use. The tension straps provided are more than sufficient to secure 2 12' kayaks to my Jeep Grand Cherokee without having to put additional lines to the bumpers to secure the boats. We've gone on 4+ hour drives with the kayaks in place and have never had a problem. The finish of them has held up very well. The hardware is Zinc coated so some of the areas are showing a very minor amount of rust. Those concerned can easily change out the provided hardware with stainless by going to your local hardware store for replacements. The black powder coat on the steel tube frames have held up nicely and even the foam pads are still in great shape. There's all kinds of racks you can buy but this one works well and is a great value. I highly recommend it. Review: Great rack and the best customer service ever. - Great rack and the best customer service ever. Been using this rack since August 2022. Works great. I chose this for its carrying capacity and mounting platform. Other racks would not carry the weight of one of my boats. I replaced a few of the bolts so that I could Mont this on my truck's ladder rack. Other racks did not have mounting plates large enough to manage this. One part did break after about 10 months of use, but the vendor was stellar in communication and replacing the part that broke. Would definitely buy this set of racks again from this seller (LEADER ACCESSORIES). ## Features - Fits Most Non‑Circular Roof Crossbars: Compatible with square factory and aerodynamic crossbars on cars, SUVs, trucks and RVs. Do not install on round crossbars to avoid performance issues and surface damage. - Heavy Duty Steel Construction with 150 lbs Load Capacity: Made of 22mm diameter 1.5mm thick alloy steel with rust resistant powder coating. Supports up to 2 kayaks or canoes with a total maximum weight of 150 lbs. - Foldable Design for Convenient Garage Access: Features a quick release folding mechanism that allows the rack to lie flat when not in use. Eliminates the need for full disassembly to fit standard garage height limits. - Foam Padded Contact Surfaces for Scratch Prevention: Thick foam padding covers all contact points with watercraft and roof crossbars. Prevents scratches and abrasions to watercraft exteriors and vehicle roof hardware. - Easy Tool-Free Installation with Four Tie-Down Straps Included： The simple mounting design allows quick installation without specialized tools. Includes four heavy-duty tie-down straps to help secure watercraft during transport. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08391BNFD | | Automotive Fit Type | Universal Fit | | Best Sellers Rank | #155,107 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #24 in Kayak & Canoe Car Racks | | Brand | Leader Accessories | | Brand Name | Leader Accessories | | Color | Black | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Car, SUV, Truck, RV, Sedan, Van | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 1,609 Reviews | | Included Components | NO | | Item Highlight | 150 lbs Capacity, Rust-Resistant, Car Roof Rack for Canoe, SUP, Surfboard, Fits SUV Car Truck Crossbar with 4 Tie Down Straps | | Item Type Name | kayak rack | | Item Weight | 10.84 kg | | Load Capacity | 150 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Leader Accessories | | Manufacturer Part Number | 103481 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 1 Year | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Material Type | Alloy Steel | | Model Number | 103481 | | Mounting Type | Roof Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | UPC | 841432143015 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Vehicle Service Type | Car, SUV, Truck, RV, Sedan, Van | ## Product Details - **Automotive Fit Type:** Universal Fit - **Brand:** Leader Accessories - **Color:** Black - **Item Weight:** 10.84 kg - **Load Capacity:** 150 Pounds - **Manufacturer:** Leader Accessories - **Material:** Alloy Steel - **Mounting Type:** Roof Mount - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Vehicle Service Type:** Car, SUV, Truck, RV, Sedan, Van ## Images ![Leader Accessories Folding Kayak Roof Rack 4 PCS/Set, J Bar for 2 Kayaks - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/611YeBDOm8L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent rack for this pricepoint *by P***B on November 20, 2022* I bought this rack system in March of 2021 when we bought our 12' Wilderness Kayaks. They fold easily, are easy to install, and are very sturdy. My only complaints are that (1) the clamps that allow you to fold and adjust the racks can pinch your hands and fingers if you're not careful, (2) it's a guessing game to make sure the racks are all adjusted at the same angle. Sometimes it takes some eyeing and readjusting. (3) The washers and bolts on each of my racks rusted after getting wet in the rain just once. It left rust puddles on my car's roof that I had to scrub off afterward. Pictures are attached. ## Frequently Bought Together - Leader Accessories Folding Kayak Rack 4 PCS/Set J Bar Car Roof Rack for Canoe Surf Board SUP On Roof Top Mount on SUV, Car and Truck Crossbar with 4 pcs Tie Down Straps - Quick Hood Loops Trunk Anchor Kayak Tie Downs Straps Bow Stern Canoe Transport Secure Lashing Point 2 Pairs - FishYuan Sentry Ratchet Kayak and Canoe Bow and Stern Tie Downs 1/4" Grow Light Heavy Duty Adjustable Rope Hanger (2-Pack) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/210208476-leader-accessories-folding-kayak-roof-rack-4-pcs-set-j](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/210208476-leader-accessories-folding-kayak-roof-rack-4-pcs-set-j) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
