How can i fix this problem??** A: Unfortunately, you will probably have to start over. The paint may not have adhered well. You can't really fix this...strip the paint (which won't take long if it is already coming off) and clean the object. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. The sand it. Use fairly fine sandpaper-you don't want scratches, but the paint needs something to hold on to. Paint and let it SIT for several days. You can then seal with polyurethane and let it sit a couple more days. Don't fall for those DIY TV shows that promise everything can be done in an afternoon! Doesn't work that way. Give the project time to "set" before you use it. And think about what you are using it for-if it is going to be subject to a lot of handling, maybe paint isn't the way to go.
