I'm left-handed and don't see how these are any more helpful than every other pen I own. If anything, the curved shaped is annoying. I will be honest and say that my mom fought the school system (in the 70s) when I was learning to write because the teacher was attempting to make me write with my right hand. My mom prevailed but the teacher did make me hold the pen and position the paper the same as the right-handed students. Most of the time I couldn't even see what I was writing. Today, I don't write with a slant or turn my paper at an angle like most of my left-handed friends. I also have always had a hard time with a shaky hand and being incapable of using a pencil because I write so hard that the lead always breaks. I'd hoped that having a left-handed pen would help steady my hand but that is not happening. Not the pen's fault. I was grasping for a solution. So perhaps, for me this pen is not needed but I did want to see if it would make a difference. I will use these but am not really sure how it is supposed to be held for the "left-hand" effect. All of that being said, they arrived quickly and in perfect condition. If you are left-handed, give them a try.
