Review: Saved my RV - So this was a shot in the dark purchase. I had a small portion of my RV slide floor getting weak and brittle from a previous leak. I was not ready to remove the floor yet so I used this product as a hope of extending the repair. I purchased a meat injection plunger and injected this product where all of the softness was. To my absolute amazement, this stuff made it hard as a rock. The floor is so solid that I don't even have the repair scheduled to be done. This stuff is very impressive and was ready to use unlike other on the market. ## Features - Strong ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B005493J1E | | Best Sellers Rank | #272,177 in Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Home Improvement ) #109 in Household Wood Stains | | Brand | J-B Weld | | Brand Name | J-B Weld | | Compatible Material | Wood | | Container Type | Bottle | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,169 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00043425400017 | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Weight | 474 Grams | | Manufacturer | J-B Weld | | Manufacturer Part Number | 40001 | | Model | 40001 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Strong | | Package Information | Bottle | | Special Feature | Strong | | Specific Uses For Product | wood | | UPC | 043425400017 | | Volume | 16 Fluid Ounces | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** J-B Weld - **Specific Uses For Product:** wood - **Item Form:** Liquid - **Special Feature:** Strong - **Item Package Quantity:** 1 ## Images ![40001 Wood Restore Liquid Hardener - 1 Pint - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71gie7WH4hL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this strengthen the partially rotted tops of 4 x 4 red wood deck posts, fill the rot cavity, and firmly hold screws?** A: I have used this product and Minwax wood hardener. Minwax is the better product. It penetrates deeper and strengthen the wood. I wood follow up with an exterior grade wood filler to fill any rotted out voids then carry on with your fasteners. **Q: how is it applied?** A: I am a fan. However there is no way it can be sprayed on. it's very thick and i can't comprehend it being in a spray bottle. Think honey or syrup. As a handyman profesional I love this. I just did 3 days doing roof trim repair that had rot and carpenter ant damage. The fibers are loose like straw. this firmed them up enough for me to put in wood epoxy. **Q: Chemically, what is this stuff?** A: http://www.jb-weld.co.uk/images/technical-data-sheets/J-B-Weld-MSDS-Wood-Restore-Epoxy1.pdf **Q: Can this be used outdoors?** A: yes it can. I used it on exterior window trim. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ wow impressed *by D***E on 16 April 2025* this works great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saved my RV *by C***. on 29 January 2026* So this was a shot in the dark purchase.
