Charge cutoff is 1.485 V. Discharge cutoff is 1.000 V. COND discharge rate is 300 ma. **Q: Can i charge for example only 4 batteries? I want to buy this, but i do not need all 8 to be charged. My needs are small but i want the best product.** A: You can charge any number from 1 to 8. However they all must be charged at either the fast mode, slow mode or recycle mode. **Q: is this a good charger for somebody who just goes thru alot of AA's for home use? just to charge and use and recharge? is it reliable?** A: Seems to be good. The secret appears to be that rechargeable batteries need to be totally exhausted every 10 recharges. This Charger has that capability. According to a friend in the TV biz, you need high quality rechargeable batteries too. He recommended POWERX, more expensive of course. Available online, I couldn't find them in the stores.
