Adjustable milling mechanism (the “grinder”) works in a way that crushes rather than grinds the peppercorns. As a result, the mechanism will never jam or “freeze up,” and because metal is not grinding on metal – as with other mills – the William Bounds mechanism will never wear out. Use adjustment ring to select consistent coarse, medium and fine grind. Attractive American Cherry.

Just what I was looking for.
I was specifically looking for a grinder with a rotating handle to reduce wrist-twisting. The design is easy to use, and the shape is elegant and comfortable as well. I have a salt mill in cherry and a pepper mill in walnut - the color variance makes it obvious which is which, while still being similar enough that the two grinders are obviously a set.I might need to oil the wood when I do maintenance on my other wooden utensils to keep it from drying out, but that's pretty trivial. I haven't had it long enough to see how the grinding mechanism holds up - previous salt grinders have gotten gummed up in a way that couldn't completely be cleaned off, and I know salt can sometimes end up rusting metal mechanisms.

Only one suggestion
I also bought the pepper mill of the same shape and mode. The only problem I have is they are nearly impossible to tell apart. They both have a "white dot" on the top of the round release nut on top. I think the pepper mill should have a black dot. Makes more sense to me!
