Callebaut Couveture Ruby Chocolate 1 lb

A difficult-to-describe taste! Very smooth, rich consistency that has a mellow fruity follow-through. I use it anywhere I would use any European chocolate - European, because I refuse to use any sort of American ‘Hershey-type’ of milk chocolate (and yes, I’m American - I simply do not have an appreciation for overly processed milk chocolate)! Callebaut created this chocolate a few years ago, and I highly recommend using their brand as opposed to any others that may still be tweaking their ‘copy’...

I have purchased Ruby chocolate from this seller a few times and they never disappoint. Great quality and they are easy to work with as well. Definitely recommend!

My husband bought these for me because they kept appearing on the Great British Baking Show. Wow do they taste different than brown chocolate. They really do have a fruity/citrusy flavor. Do be aware that when mixed with a non-oil liquid like water or milk they change color. I have bought fruit powder that will enhance the color. Beetroot powder was recommended by the manufacturer.

The vendor got the product here with no problems at all. It’s the product itself. It was not good for MY taste buds. Someone else may love it. Just not for me.

This chocolate is as described, tart & fruity. Used to coat dark chocolate truffles. Friends were thrilled.

I bought this product for Valentines baking. It arrived on time and packaged in a foil bag. It was fresh and not broken or melted. I'm giving it two stars only because we did not like it. It did not melt easily, was a little grainy....and I had to add additional flavor to my mixes because it had very little flavor. I would not buy this again, but it was interesting to try once.

It melted well and added a nice tart flavor to the cookies

It was packed very well, in 3 different layers, including a thermal one, with what originally was probably a frozen ice pack.It arrived in 92 degrees as a gooey mess shown in the photo (I squeezed it into a plastic container and put in a fridge).The 'no returns/no refunds' policy was a fun discovery.Needless to say, it was a weird frustrating experience. It's not 1 star because it was packed well (showing good intent), and the taste is still alright (although IMO it's much sweeter than necessary).If you do decide to order this, I would wait until winter.
