Won't stay paired with system
Initial pairing worked okay on 2gig system. But after about a month it constantly shows errors and wont stay paired. I bought 2 of these and they are worthless

Works with Nexia
I purchased this for use in my Nexia system. I was able to enroll the device with no problems. It shows up as a dimmer.A few observations:The siren is loud enough to startle intruders. There is no way that this won't be heard while inside. I have mine located in the center of the house, which might not be heard too well from outside the house. In my testing, I noticed that the clear plastic cover doesn't quite snap in place fully. When triggering the siren, that cover almost always pops out--but that doesn't bother me too much. A piece of tape would fix that. When the power goes out, or the device is unplugged (the battery is only meant to be a backup... you need to plug this into a power source) the alarm will sound for a few seconds. I have mine plugged into a larger battery backup (UPS) so I saw this as a bonus... essentially I'll get a (very loud) audible alarm when my UPS battery runs out.It works beautifully with the Nexia system. I set up automation so that when my motion sensors detect motion, set this "dimmer" to 100%. This produces a flashing light and audible alarm.I noticed that if I set the "dimmer" to 1%, only the light will flash--no audible alarm.

Nice Alarm Unit
I purchased this to be used as an alternative-type of alarm unit, rather than a hardwired monitored system. I was a little concerned based upon other reviews, but I think they were unfounded. This unit is nice and, as others have said, LOUD. It was recognized by my Vera3 unit almost instantly. It was easily added to scenes tied into door/window and motion sensors. As a note, you can set a "percentage" level just as if this was a dimmer switch. Each percentage level relates to an aspect of the unit: 30% and under is just strobe (flash); 40%-60% is just siren; and 70% and up is both. So, you can configure your controller to turn this on at certain specific levels to perform one of these functions (for example, if the garage door sensor is tripped, only make this unit flash).Overall, I'm quite content with this purchase.

meh.
it's definately louder than the whimpy alarm that comes with the alarm panel. I did however have a problem with it not going off at first because I installed it too far from the control, which was half the reason I got it, I want to hear the alarm go off when I'm not close to the panel. The light is not that bright either.

sending it back
It was useless to me. I wanted it for the basement or upstairs bedroom area so we could hear the siren coming from the control panel on the main floor. It didnt work unless it was placed in range with the control panel which defeated the purpose! The sound of the siren was very weak as was the red blinking light. The prongs on the electrical plug are not made like a regular plug. They are straight and blunt and do not hold in the wall. Kept falling out.

ugh the power blinked again
It works great until a lightning storm comes through. Then the thing goes into alarm for about 20 seconds everytime the power blinks. Really sucks at night when the whole family is trying to sleep. It is more disconnected and sits on a shelf.

ZWAVE alarm module.
Extremely loud and easy to link to a zwave compatible monitoring station. Unit can be disarmed at the keypad or app - not actual unit like a smoke alarm. Linked to Frontpoint system.Followup: had a few connectivity issues (siren didn't activate). Unit was placed over 60 feet from base. Depending on your alarm company's hardware and frequency, the siren may need to be placed withing 25 feet of base station. I moved the base closer and added a remote light module that amplifies the signal. The siren is perfect...

Unreliable SubPar product
I bought this z wave alarm to pair it with Samsung Smartthing Hub to trigger a loud sound Alarm whenever there is an intrusion in the house. But the product has been unreliable from day one - and the UNRELIABILITY has only increased in the ensuing months. This is really a subpar product. The alarm loses connection to Samsung SmartHub almost DAILY, when it is barely separated by a corridor and less than 15 feet away from the hub.The alarm is one smart device you NEVER want to fail - you rely on it to scare away possible miscreants. I am not sure if I have a dud or this is a flaw in design. Money & time wasted. True disappointment - and more than that, a BIG gap in home security. You are better off looking elsewhere.
