They seem fairly strong. The screws have plastic tips and there are plastic pads for the opposite side of the glass. A few issues: 1/4" glass is a snug fit - definitely won't work with thicker. Will need shimming if the mounting surface is not at a right angle to the glass. The D shaped pads are loose from the hinges - should be held in with adhesive so they don't move during installation.
