QCA Spas Del Ozone APG-U-01 Ozonator Hot Tub Ozone Generator, 8 by 8-Inch, Cream

My service tech tried to sell me this for 180$. Ordered from amazon and installed myself for much less!! Have had this installed for a few weeks and it works as intended - strong ozone smell when opening the cover. However please note that this does NOT come with a manual, it comes with a piece of paper that tells you where to go to download the manual, however that link is old and doesn't; work. Also can't even find the manual on the website ANYWHERE. It seems this is marketed as several different products but in actuality is the same thing. APG-U is the same as the Del Ozone Spa Eclipse. Was able to find the manual from the Balboa ozone (on amazon) and use that to install this (the manual works the same!) except when you connect the ozone hose to the generator you need to use the port closest to the front of the unit.

Bought this to replace my existing hot tub ozonator. The device itself was a direct fit replacement, including the length and type of connector used. It worked great.What I am unhappy with is It not having a clear description of what all came with the ozonator. I looked to the reviews and found out that it came with new hose and check valve. I was not happy when I received it, that it did not come with the unit. I had to get these at the local hardware store to get it installed. It would have been helpful if I knew this ahead of time.

I read tests and did my research on this one. Based on that, I thought it to be the best option. Even on the pricey side. After reading Amazon reviews I noticed a lot of people stating that it died after about a months. I thought I take a chance thinking may be a bad batch or whatever. Sure enought, after less then a year it died. Its a shame because when it did work, it worked great.

Seems to produce a great volume of ozone as you can easily smell it when you open the hot tub cover.The unit is built into a robust plastic shell that is compact and easy to install.Mine came with all the components needed to install including mounting screws, tubing, clamps, check valve.Mine was pre-wired for simple plug and play into my Marquis spa controller.In addition to being able to smell the ozone (to know that it is working) I mounted mine in such a way as to be able to see the indicator light when I peek through the vent holes in my access cover.

Got strong smell of ozone the first 4 to 6 weeks.Now, after 4 months, I smell nothing, is there still ozone?

Mine lasted a few months past the warranty. While the ozone does help with keeping the hot tub clean it is not worth the money when you need to replace them every few years.

Installed in the tub on April 2nd. It is now 9/13/20 it stooped working a few days ago. Confirmed today it is recieving power but no light and the tub is starting to smell because it is not producing ozone. No idea what the warranty is it is not available on Amazon right now so I have ordered a different one and will try it. Don't buy this one.

Original one stopped working so I replaced it with this and the water condition has greatly improved.
