It's also not big enough for the purpose as a planting shovel, except maybe for a child or munchkin from Oz. But, it's great for light duty work and shoveling mulch. Well made, but medium gauge. Might be the most over-packaged item I've ever purchased - wrapped and wrapped in foam and bubble wrap in an oversized box like fine some kind of fine china! Bought the hoe tool, too. Medium duty, scratches easily, wish there were no hole for a loop. Not as strong as fiberglass equivalent tool, still a good tool, no real complaints
