I love crock-pots and this as taken it to the next ...
I love crock-pots and this as taken it to the next level! It arrived quickly (through amazon prime) and I had it set up and connected to my home wifi in less than 10 minutes. I did not experience any trouble discovering the crock-put network as some other reviewers have described. It may have to do with your phone and your proximity to the crock-pot.The App is user friendly and intuitive and you are able to control your crockpot anywhere from your phone. It is not a very fancy app, but I'm not sure what more you need it to do other than turn the pot on, change the temperatures from Low to High to Warm and turn the pot off; it covers the basics. There is also a timer feature that will help you pre-set your cooking times and temperatures. The only thing to worry about is the reliability of your internet service. If you loose connectivity, the pot will continue cooking and you won't be able to control remotely. That makes sense and has to do with your internet provider, not this product.I have been using this pot approximately once per week for nearly 2 months and it has worked great each time. It has a sturdy design cooks food evenly. There aren't any latches for the lid so this would not be good for transporting food, stick with something smaller if that's what you need. I've never experienced any connectivity issues or interruptions. I often use the pot for making homemade bone broth which requires cooking at low temperature for 48 to 96 hours. This little pot has performed excellently throughout the extended use.

Awesome- a Lifestyle Changer
I've only had this product for about 2 weeks, but it has certainly proved itself as my new favorite kitchen appliance. My clinical rotations can be ten to eleven hours some days, so I had given up crock pot cooking as I'd always come home to tough, overlooked meat (even on low). We started eating out more as it was difficult getting home so late sometimes and then still cooking a nice dinner. My boyfriend saw my struggles and surprised me with this one day, and boy I'm sure he's glad he did. We immediately stopped eating out, and have been enjoying healthy (healthier, at least) home cooked meals 3 to 4 days out of the week, and leftovers for lunch and on other days. It's saving me money, it's improving my diet, and it's very easy to use. I have had no problems with set up or function, and actually have a lot of fun showing my patients at work my cool app that controls my crock pot. It's awesome and I'd highly recommend. The one thing I've found is that food generally tends to cook a bit even on the warm setting. I'm sure the trapped heat in the crockpot from the low or high setting is a contributing factor. I've simply just started to cook things an hour less than what they call for, and then they sit on warm for the next 3-4 hours until I get home from work. This always yields perfectly done, moist tender meat. Certainly a small learning curve that I was happy to adjust for!

Great smart home addition!
Very nice addition to my smart kitchen. Love the wifi connectivity. Wanted a crock pot for a while for the set it and forget it stews and chilies, but didn't want my mothers crockpot. No offense, moms! Just got it this morning, and set up was a breeze- it did most of the connection itself! Already have my first batch of chili cooking. My place is a mod loft, minimalist, and all open, and while this is a largish addition to my countertop when in use, it's a handsome, modern looking appliance, that looks great in a mod kitchen. Great find. A little pricy, but all smart home features/appliances are. Also, it works as a conventional slow cooker, if you want a modern look, but don't need the smart features.

Love connecting a crockpot to my iPhone. Wish all my appliances worked like this.
My old Crockpot died after 7 years and decided to buy one that I could use with my smartphone. I was not disappointed. It was easy to follow the instructions and connect to the WEMO Application on my iPhone and the crockpot. I was able to set the timer and keep track of it during the day. You don't need the app to use the crockpot. It does have manual settings on the front. Tried it out with a pot roast. Worked great at the slow temps. Lid doesn't bounce around like the old one. So far so good. However, I could not connect it to Alexa because the WEMO skill for Alexa requires a MAC address. I added the one from the setting but didn't seem to work. Would really like that Skill to be improved. Suspect that will be resolved as software technology matures. Would really like to say "Alexa turn the crockpot off".
