Spring Valley Fish, Flax & Borage Oil Dietary Supplement Softgels, 120 Count (Pack of 2)

I bought this fish oil/ flaxseed oil/ borage oil combination to improve my skin. I had read in a few different magazines that omega 3 and omega 6 were great for problem skin (break outs, oil, uneven tone) and they were so right. I've been taking these pills for a week and there is a noticeable difference in the smoothness and tone of my skin. This particular brand is great because there is no fishy taste and the price is pretty good for a 60 day supply (you take 2 a day).

Great omega blend for the price (it may be slightly cheaper in store, but with Prime delivery to your door... worth it), so a good overall value.Some things to note:-The ratio of EPA to DHA is good (2-to-1), but for athletes, you may want to double the dose.-A serving is 2 softgels, so you may want to take one in the morning and one in the evening (2 and 2 for athletes).-They do not *need* to be refrigerated, but it helps prevent them from sticking together and significantly reduces the odor.

This product along with a healthy diet & exercise, lowered my cholesterol over 100 points within 2 months! No fishy aftertaste of burps. I take a night before bed on an empty stomach with no side effects at all. Recommended.

OK, I admit it. I'm a vitamin supplement junkie. Each night I take a handful of supplements before I go to bed. But out of all the supplements I take, this one is probably the most important one. Here's some of the benefits I contribute to this Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) Complex: Improvements in Complexion (reduced acne), PMS symptoms, Menstrual pain, Dry Eye Symptoms (reduced inflammation), Cholesterol (lower LDL & higher HDL), OCD symptoms and more recently, menopause symptoms. I don't remember exactly why I started taking it. But there were those times when I ran out and briefly stopped taking it. You know you often don't know how beneficial a supplement is until you stop taking it. There was that one month I switched to Krill Oil. That month my acne increased, my menstrual pain increased, and oh... the PMS! My husband survived, thankfully. Fish Oil alone also doesn't seem to have the same punch as this Omega Complex. The Gamma Linolenic Acid (derived from Borage Oil) probably offers the biggest benefit in this complex. Just google GLA, and see for yourself just how important GLA is for your health. Around 5 years ago, this complex by Spring Valley also contained Conjugated Linoleic acid (derived from Safflower Oil). When it was removed from the formula, I noticed my sons, who were teenagers at the time, started to break out a little more than usual. Looking back, that's about the same time I really started to struggle with weight. I continued to purchase this "new" formula because it was still the best valued Omega Complex I could find. (And by the way, this is much cheaper at Walmart). When you take as many supplements as I do, you can't pay a premium price for all of them. And you don't have to. This formula is good. But, there are other EFA Complexes out there that do have CLA. Now that I am getting older, I may consider switching to Premium EFA by Pride Nutrition (available here on Amazon). If I notice any improvement, I will update my review. So bottom line: an EFA complex is an essential supplement for me, and this one, I believe, offers the best value for my buck.

There's no flavor I can detect. Great deal on the supplements. I take them to regulate my cycle and so far it's still working well.

Although these are less expensive at my local Walmart (not counting the tax), they are out-of-stock often and that is very inconvenient. Can always find these on Amazon; the extra cost is worth it so I don't go without again. I noticed an improvement in my skin texture and health after a few weeks. Will continue buying at Amazon, don't want to be without again.

I really like this product, it seems to relieve my joint pain, keep my skin clear, and for some reason, It reduces the amount of hot flashes I suffer from.

I purchase this lactose, gluten, egg, dye and color free product for myself and my dog. I get the health benefits of the Omega's and my dog doesn't scratch from dry skin. I take 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. Buttons gets her's with her breakfast. I just put the capsule in the dish with her morning serving of grain-free kibble and 1/4 of a can of grain-free canned dog food and she eats it with no hassles.
