The makers of Equadose V2 thought that the most important thing was to add a centering device based on feedback from their customers. Adding a centering device changed the whole configuration of the splitter. Equadose V2 is the most accurate splitter I have found for splitting pills. **Q: where is this made?** A: On the bottom of the cutter it says "Made in PRC" which means People's Republic of China. So the answer to your question is that it is made in China. **Q: I have difficulty opening tight lids. Is the top easy to remove?** A: It is very easy, you just lift the top up, put your pill in between the (adjustable)holder. Then put the lid back on top and I use the palm of my hand to push it down(that’s when the blade cuts the pill) Then u just lift top off😁I love it!
