Review: Great skates, neat design and very comfortable - I love most of the features on these skates: the pull string is quick and easy without having to tie laces, the buckle latch is strong and secure, the bearings and wheels are extremely silky and smooth, and the boots are super comfortable. But it's not without cons: the buckle could use a ratcheting system instead of just push in on the clicker side and clamp on the other. You can't get enough force onto the buckle when you really want to crank down on them. Second downside is although they're comfortable, the boots are extremely soft and they don't really hold their shape, so these are more for just moderate cruising outdoors and smooth rinks. You might not want to try roller hockey or big jumps, but that's just a guess at their long term durability. They're really, really fast though. Other than getting dedicated speed skates, the wheels are huge and are effortless to move on. Plus the price was very reasonable and the exposed wheels with the one side frame is really neat. They were a marked improvement from the last pair of skates.
