Stant10848 Fuel Cap, Black

It works. It's far from a perfect fit, but at least the stupid "Check Engine Light" is no longer illuminated.At first, the Stant cap was so tight I couldn't remove it unless I used pliers. Not so convenient when you are at a truck stop in Murdo, South Dakota, and the outside temp is 12F! But after using the new Stant cap a bit, I can finally get it on and off with my fingers only.I really wish the new Stant cap were a direct replacement, but it is not. It's annoying that it doesn't have a loop, like the old cap, so that it remains tethered to the car. I've already (accidentally) tried to crush the new cap with the trunk lid. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I forget to replace the cap after fueling, and lose the cap somewhere along I-90.I bought the cap for my 2004 Saab 9-3.

Fits my 2006 Saab 9-3 perfectly, although it requires considerably more force to screw back off than the OEM cap. Hence only 4 stars.This is the 2nd replacement cap I've ordered. I lost the first after leaving the gas station without screwing the cap back on, so I decided to attach this one to the Saab like the OEM gas cap. Drilled a hole in the handle and attached it the metal exterior gas cover with a couple of zip ties. Presto, no more lost caps.

This cap does NOT fit the Saab 9-3, 2007 convertible Aero. It is so tight that I had a very difficult time removing it, and it did not clear the check engine light.

It screwed on ok, but it did not create the vacuum needed in my car to make the 'gas cap" light go out.Had to go buy one at AutoZone that worked.

Inadvertently left my Saab 9-3 gas cap at a gas station in who-knows-where, Louisiana, on our way back from N'Awlins. This gas cap works just fine.

Be careful with this cap, is hard or almost impossible to open after locking.
