Great products for Canine Liver Disease
My "hospice" rescue, Benson, has out lived his predicted life expectancy due to what I was told was kidney disease. As it turns out, after a new vet, updated blood work and an ultrasound, he has advanced liver disease. My vet was not familiar with Hepagen, however after looking over the ingredients told me to continue using it. Yes, the chews are stinky, so what; it is all about keeping my sweet little 18 year old rescue as healthy and happy as possible. Remove the lid and dispense the chew, quickly replace the lid. Done! Dogs love the stinky stuff, we all know that. Thank you for a supplement product that truly helps our 4-legged loves.

Prescribed by our vet
This product was prescribed by our vet for our dog since he has a liver that is small for his size and he was having liver issues to the extent his skin and whites of his eyes were yellowed. Since taking the Hepagen the yellow skin and eyes has resolved

Can't get past the smell!
We have been using the capsules for our girl Gidgette for several years with no issue. Her liver values have been great and it was easy to hide the capsule in some peanut butter and pepperoni. We got our first order with the chews and I almost threw up at the smell. I literally can not open the container without gagging. My husband who is a lot less sensitive to smells can't even handle the smell. Gidgette will not go anywhere near the chews, there is literally no way to disguise the horrid smell of them. It lingers in the air for minutes. It is just awful. It now also contains a bunch of other ingredients I just would rather not be in the supplement, more ingredients to cause issues for her. We have discontinued using the chews and use Denamarin and other supplements the vet recommended. I hope a capsule come back, but if not Gidgette has not had any adverse effects from discontinuing this supplement.

Very malodorous but fine overall...
Did you stop making the capsules? My dog eats anything or takes anything in cheese or pill pockets etc—the chews are so potent I have them in two wrappings of plastic. They are quite stinky!

Great product but smells HORRIBLE
I have a dog with liver issues and after trying several other supplements, my veterinarian suggested this product. I was very pleased when, after several months, my dog's liver tests were the best they had been in years. He was originally taking the tablets but those weren't available when it was time to refill so I purchased the soft chews. My dog eats them just fine but the smell is AWFUL (I hope this is normal and not a sign of a bad product).

High Quality Dog Chews for Healthy Dogs
These are dog chews so they are not sheer but they are delicious for dogs. The quality of Thorne products is undisputed. They make supplements for humans too. The Curcuvet chews for dogs provide important health benefits for aging dogs with arthritis to reduce inflammation.

Just like a treat :)
My 12 year old dog is struggling in his older years, and my vet recommended this for his liver support. I’m so grateful this is on amazon and so easy to get! My dog loves these and thinks they are treats! We love these and we highly recommend.

dog hates it
I TRY to disguise it by breaking it up in small pieces and mixing it with her dogfood---she MIGHT eat half of the pieces and leaves the rest . I try putting peanut butter on it , she licks the peanut butter off and leaves the medicine. They SMELL HORRIBLE , so they MUST taste as bad as they smell for a dog not to eat it! The manufacturer's REALLY need to change the formula to make it more palatable to the dogs who need it.I also give Milk Thistle 240 mg. to my 24 pound Cairn Terrier which is known and PROVEN to lower liver enzymes as evidenced by my dog's lab results.
