Review: Works just as advertised - Works great for my cable railing. We bought some damn expensive cable railing from a specialty store and it held the steel cable all by tension and it SUCKED. 1,000s of dollars for the railing and after a day or two, the cables would just pull right out. It’s a rooftop deck so that made it extremely dangerous. For 100 bucks, this tool and some railing end bolts, my deck is now safe as can be and each cable is pulled tight with zero slack. This tool made the conversion very easy. I found when crimping 1/8 cable it took 4 “cranks” to get the right crimps. If you place the 2nd crimp too close to the 1st, the steel sleeve will bend. The picture shows the original cable railing and the crimped cable. Yea, the original looked very nice and clean but the cable could be pulled out with slight pressure.

A: Use the #6 dies to crimp 1/8" stainless wire cable.

**Q: Which dies should I use to crimp 3/16" stainless wire?**
A: Use the #10 dies to crimp 3/16" stainless wire cable.

**Q: How to fix pressure problem?**
A: 1. Loose the knob, strike the head of crimper against the ground few times, tighten the knob and pump the handle to see if it works. 2. Turn right the knob tight and tap the knob with hammer few times, tighten the knob and pump the handle.

**Q: Just received it, after shaking vigorously, turn the on/off knob all the way to off, no pressure, please help?**
A: Pls refer the vedio, named "How to fix pressure problem?？" PLs make sure you turn it the right way, pump instead of just press.

**Q: How many crimpings are required to install the cable railing fittings?**
A: Each 1/8" fitting must be crimped 4 to 5 times at each of the two positions to ensure a safe and secure connection.

This is a change of my original review. My original review was quite negative. But the customer service was excellent, and the second tool worked fine. I never give a five star review. Definitely a five star review for a customer service. And so far this tool seems to be working properly.
