## Overview

Golden Acryl Med 32 Oz GAC-800 is a professional-grade acrylic medium designed to extend pouring paints with minimal crazing, improve adhesion on chalky surfaces, and deliver a smooth, glossy, flexible finish. Packaged in a convenient 32 oz bottle, it’s a must-have for artists seeking chip-resistant, high-quality results indoors.

## Description

Golden Artist Colors GAC 800 is a low-crazing extender for pouring acrylic colors. "Crazing" is the formation crevices in surfaces that develop as acrylic paints and mediums dry. The addition of GAC 800 promotes drying with a smooth, even film, good gloss and flexibility, but with moderate clarity. GAC 800 is also useful for adhesion to chalky surfaces. GAC Acrylic Polymers only have a minimum amount of thickeners, levelers, defoamers and surfactants to ensure good film formation. 32 ounce bottle

Review: Gac 800 medium - Gac 800 works great as a medium to add to acrylic paints. The consistency makes it easier to mix and it does get the paint a little more shine. It can drag quickly, but if you put it on thick, we know it takes a little longer.
Review: Prevents cracks - It’s one of the best products out there. No cracks in my art.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I saw the other answer to this but got to ask: this 32 oz size says white. the other sizes of gac 800 do not. will this change my paint color?**
A: It didn't change mine at all

**Q: can/do you use this interchangeably with pouring medium? In other words, do you use it instead of pouring medium and it seals itself?**
A: You can use it as pouring medium or mix it with pouring medium. GAC has its own properties and is a great addition to your art supplies. It does dry nicely and as it cures it does seal itself but if you want it super shiny you may need to varnish/glaze etc.

**Q: What is the difference between Golden 800 and golden pouring medium?**
A: GAC800 is a pouring medium. But for the most indepth descriptions of all of goldens mediums, go to their website. They have detailed videos and written instructions on how to use their mediums. What ratios of pigment to use and how to mix pigments with GAC mediums to get the best results. I use GAC800 and Golden's liquid acrylics. The results I get are beautiful. And since GAC800 seals itself, there is no need to varnish.

**Q: Has any one used this with liquitex pouring medium?**
A: The original question Liquitex, yes it can. As they call it I use a healthy squirt with 50% Liquitex 50% US flortoel and a healthy squirt of Golden GAC 800. I use this for swipes for acrylic pour.
