No special bells or whistles. Easy to hook up once you figure it out. The clearest sound ever on a set of headphones. You can actually here the dialogue when watching a show or movie. Crisp highs, booming lows. Made for tv but I have listened to some classic rock on them. Don't expect that concert sound but they will rock. The plus is you can hook them up to more than one tv. My living room is hooked up thru blue tooth and my bedroom is hooked up thru optical wire. Vey satisfied for the price, yes I would recommend these. Comfortable to wear but you do need to give your ears a break after a few hours. I would buy them again if the need arises. Review: I Really Like this Item - I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: Item arrived in great condition and just as described. Let me start by saying my wife likes to watch TV in bed before falling asleep, but I need to go to sleep when I go to bed. It was a struggle until we discovered this wonderful company and their products. A few years ago we bought the AVANTREE OPERA Headphones. They were awesome. Those hang on a tree holder to charge during the day. Recently my wife complained that she could feel on the top of her head where there was not any foam at the spot where they hung. We looked once again on desertcart and were happy to find this same brand AVANTREE also made this set which sits in a cradle to charge, thus allowing the foam to cover the entire headphone across the top of her head. THESE WORK GREAT. Easy to set-up and install. Quick to charge. Sounds great. Very comfortable on the head. Only had them a week, so can not speak on how long they will survive, but like I mentioned the OPERA version we have is still going strong years later. But, when we use them they are on her head. When she's done, she gets up to use the restroom one last time, and puts them back into the charging cradle. They stay inside the cradle until the next night when she removes them to wear them. They are not subjected to strange forces, or dropping, or rolling over onto them. We expect them to last many years also. I Recommend. Good Luck. ## Features - 【Check TV Compatibility Before Buying】Your TV must have Optical (TOSLINK) or 3.5 mm AUX output. TVs with HDMI only will not work. Soundbar passthrough setups are not supported. - 【FOR TV Watching & Private Listening】 Designed for watching TV with comfortable wireless headphones at your own volume without disturbing others. Ideal for seniors, shared bedrooms, or anyone who struggles to hear TV dialogue clearly while keeping the room quiet. - 【Clear Dialogue for TV Listening】 This TV headphones set delivers clear TV dialogue when connected via the included transmitter using Optical or AUX cable. It helps improve speech clarity for everyday TV watching, but is not intended for users with severe hearing loss. - 【Easy Dock Charging】Just place the headphones on the charging dock after use. Always ready for the next viewing session, making it especially suitable for seniors and non-technical users. - 【Setup Note – TV Audio Settings Required】TV audio output must be set correctly to use this system. When using Optical, select Sound Output: Optical and Audio Format: PCM. Incorrect TV settings may result in no sound. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08629PFFQ | | Additional Features | Adjustable Headband | | Age Range Description | All | | Antenna Location | Televisions equipped with Optical (TOSLINK) or AUX (3.5mm) audio output ports. | | Audio Driver Type | Dynamic Driver | | Audio Latency | 40 milliseconds | | Battery Average Life | 35 hours | | Battery Charge Time | 2 hours | | Best Sellers Rank | #3,408 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #164 in Over-Ear Headphones | | Bluetooth Range | 100 feet | | Bluetooth Version | 5 | | Brand | Avantree | | Brand Name | Avantree | | Built-In Media | AUX 3.5mm Audio Cable * 1, Bluetooth Headphones & Transmitter / Charging Dock * 1, Optical Audio Cable * 1, Power Cable for Transmitter * 1 | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | TVs equipped with optical (TOSLINK), AUX (3.5mm), or Bluetooth audio outputs. | | Connectivity Technology | Wireless | | Control Method | Touch | | Control Type | Button Control | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 15,379 Reviews | | Ear Placement | Over Ear | | Earpiece Shape | over-ear | | Enclosure Material | Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) | | Form Factor | Over Ear | | Headphone Folding Features | Over Ear | | Headphone Jack | 3.5 mm Jack | | Headphones Ear Placement | Over Ear | | Impedance | 32 ohm | | Item Weight | 234 g | | Manufacturer | Avantree | | Model Name | Ensemble | | Model Number | Ensemble | | Noise Control | Passive Noise Cancellation | | Number of Items | 1 | | Specific Uses For Product | Gaming | | Theme | Televisions equipped with Optical (TOSLINK) or AUX (3.5mm) audio output ports. | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | Warranty - 12 months (extend to 24 months with product registration) | Extensive Support: Chat, Email, Phone, Online Clinic, Video Tutorials, FAQ and Registration - avantree.com/support | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | | Wireless Technology | Bluetooth | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Avantree - **Color:** Black - **Ear Placement:** Over Ear - **Form Factor:** Over Ear - **Impedance:** 32 ohm ## Images ![Ensemble - Wireless Headphones for TV Watching for Seniors - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51UMM5fbjHL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does the Ensemble work with Smart TVs?** A: Yes. When connecting to a Smart TV, keep the transmitter powered off and pair the headphones directly to your TV. **Q: Can I have audio through my TV speakers & wireless headphones at the same time?** A: It depends on your TV. Some TVs can play sound through both the speakers & headphones at the same time. If not, consider the Avantree Opera Plus, which allows simultaneous playback through both an external speaker and your wireless headphones. **Q: How can I tell if the Ensemble is compatible with my TV?** A: Check if your TV has an optical (TOSLINK), AUX (3.5mm), or Bluetooth output. The Ensemble will work as long as your TV has any one of these. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very satisfied. *by A***R on July 31, 2026* Just as advertised. No special bells or whistles. My first model had exposed wires which after 3 and 1/2 years developed a short and began cutting in and out. My new model has all the wires embedded into the ear cushions so no wires are exposed. I am very happy with the sound, the ease of the blue tooth connectivity and the over-all quality of the construction of the headphones. Before buying the Avantree headphones I did try two other headphones from different manufacturers. One was so cheap and sounded like crap and the other one had good sound but broke within two weeks. So they were much less expensive than the Avantree, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Save yourself the headaches and just pay more for the Avantree brand. you won't be disappointed. ## Frequently Bought Together - Avantree Ensemble - Wireless TV Headphones Compatible with TVs with Optical, AUX, or Bluetooth Audio Outputs - Comfortable Headphones for Seniors with Charging Dock & Transmitter and 35hr Playtime - Amazon Basics Toslink Digital Optical Audio Cable, Multi-Channel, for Audio System, Sound Bar, Home Theatre, Gold-Plated Connectors, 6 Foot, Black - NEWCAER Digital Optical Splitter 1 in 2 Out,SPDIF Toslink Digital Optical Audio Cable Splitter 1x2 Support LPCM2.0 Doldy Digital & DTS 5.1 for Xbox,PS4,PS5,DVD,TV Box,Home Theatre, Receiver,Sound Bar --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/232545402-ensemble-wireless-headphones-for-tv-watching-for-seniors](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/232545402-ensemble-wireless-headphones-for-tv-watching-for-seniors) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
