Dell Gaming Monitor SE2417HG 23.6" TN LCD Monitor with 2ms Response Time,black

I should've got this monitor like long time ago! This is my very first gaming like monitor to have in my room. GREAT PRICE AND GREAT QUALITY! Perfect fit for my desk where I can do my homework, music producing and gaming as well :D The monitor does have VGA and HDMI ports so it should be good for console gaming and pc gaming. I have a photo that is attached to this review so hopefully you guys can take a look and meet your expectations. This is a pretty wide screen for gaming you guys. I got Far Cry 5 from GameFly on the same day when the monitor came in, so for sure that day was amazing! No issues so far with the monitor. I am able to dual screen with my laptop for homework and stuff.The only bad news is that there is no audio output or like no speakers from the monitor itself. If you need to, buy a output speaker and then connect it to the output jack back of the monitor. Then you will have yourself a good setup!Honestly, if you are looking for a good price and great quality monitor with almost 24in, look no further guys! This monitor should meet your expectations! I will definitely be thinking about getting another of these babies in the future! Happy Gaming with this!

This is a really nice monitor for the price. It had all the features I wanted for my dorm room. Two HDMI ports and audio passthrough. Now I can play my Nintendo Switch without having to buy a seperate tv for the dorm.Out of the box the color is terrible, if you are not going to take the time to calibrate this monitor you will be pretty unhappy with it. With some calibration it looks decent but not anywhere near the richness of a IPS panel. My 6 year old HP IPS monitor has better color.The stand is sturdy but does not offer much customization.My box was shipped as just the monitor box, not good if you live in a sketchy neighborhood.

Pros: I really liked the quality of the screen, great picture and good size,colors were slightly off out of the box but after I tweaked the settings it looked greatCons: when I got the monitor it was ghosting really bad, some setting tweaking helped slightly but it made some games unplayableOther Thoughts: I believe the problem I had was a defect in my specific monitor, I know some people who have the same monitor and it works great for them, I sent mine back but I give it 4 stars because other than the ghosting it was a great monitor for the price and doesn't seem like this happens often, guess I was just unlucky

I absolutely love these monitors. I got a pair of them. An upgrade over my 6 year old Acer S230hl's. They do need a bit of tuning out of the box, as does any monitor. I only have two issues with them. First of all being, why the hell were there not more cables that came with it!? Not really upset about this. I knew this buying them. But the next person might not. The next is, one of them sits a bit taller than the other. For the life of me, i cannot figure out why. Pic is here to see. Other than, great monitor, even better price.

Update 3/20/21: No dead pixels, no problems.Update 1/4/20: Been a little more than two years now. No dead pixels or other issues.I actually prefer smaller monitors and fullscreen (I know, I'm all alone on that one), but I wanted something that would be good for gaming. I figured I'd make a concession. This does the trick well, and I'm happy with the quality. FFXV looks amazing on it, and, more or less, that's what I was looking for. Brightness and everything else are what you'd want and expect in a monitor. No dead pixels or anything amiss, but we'll see how it does over time.

Great monitor for the price, can't justify spending enough for get a 4k display til the prices drop more, but for now this gets the job done. Perfect for gaming, web browsing, watching videos and even some photo editing if you adjust the stock settings a bit. I've had one for over a year and just got a second one after seeing how well it performed during that time. The refresh rate is only 60 Hz, which may concern some people when it comes to gaming, but honestly unless your trying to get 120 fps or more out of a game this is more than adequate. Overall I would highly recommend this item.

The monitor itself is amazing, but there is a major flaw, which is the fact that this monitor does not have support for audio through the HDMI. You need to purchase separate audio speakers and the quality is not the best. Would recommend getting a full package monitor rather than this.
