Powerful, Simple, Versatile
This was my fourth processor. Large enough to handle making meat loaf. Very powerful 600w motor compared to another brand being only 240w. Consequently the base is very heavy compared to others. BUT.........it handles my recipes. One I tried, the motor started to smell like it was overloaded. Simple design I don't need the smaller insert, use a chopper for that. Don't need to adjust size of blades, I am happy with one size. Buttons very responsive and easy to push. Easy to operate. Easy to clean.......top rack in dishwasher. Makes me laugh. So powerful, when I push pulse all I hear is a short growl and my cabbage is shredded.......

Worth the extra money over next lower model
Love this food processor. Feels sturdy and is a work horse. We keep it in a cabinet, but classy and modern enough to keep out on display. Makes short work of pureeing roasted pumkin for freezing, shreading greens and large batches of quac. Cannot wait for the next use. The whole middle part coming off is great for cleaning. Takes a little getting used to lining up the bowl and lid, but otherwise awesome. I origianlly purchased a lower level model and the difference in quality $75 get you is impressive. Wish it came with the case for blades. Almost expect it as this price point. My hope is this processor lasts the rest of my cooking lifetime.

I have owned several over the years, this unit is by far both the quietest and does the best job making hash browns of any that I have ever used. Unlike prior units, almost no waste with this unit, and properly sized I do not need to even use a pusher to feed. The blade retainer is a bit cumbersome but I can see how the design works to ensure quality output and low sound. Cleans up with less effort than the units I had in the past, no need for special deep cleaning thin brushes to fish out stray bits. Using daily so it will be well worn by the time it is a year old but I expect it will last. Model choice was made based on ratings in a major consumer magazine which gave it good numbers, and for the price far and away the best purchase. No opinion about the dough option as I use a stand mixer for my daily dough creation.

Love this Cuisinart food processor
Love this Cuisinart food processor. I'm glad I went with the 11-cup size since it tends to fill up pretty quickly. It has worked very well to chop onions, carrots, broccoli, etc. I have also used it to shred cheese and make homemade Larabars. The base is very heavy, but it is good for stability on a countertop. I usually store the base and attachments separately in my cabinet as it would be too tall to store fully assembled. I can also store the blades and attachments inside the plastic container. Be very careful with the blades, they are extremely sharp. Easy to clean and seems very durable.

I bought this to replace an 8 cup cuisnart that was starting to have issues. The base on this is very heavy and seems sturdy enough I would expect it to last quite a while. The top locks in place and you can't operate until it's been set and pushes the safety down. So far I've only used the dough feature a couple of times and I like this setting. Putting all the dry in and slowly adding the wet while it's running, both times, the dough was completely mixed and I think if they'd been firmer doughs they would have ended up in ball form, where the fairly wet dough I made didn't. Having the wide mouth and the narrow opening is convenient and I'm looking forward to really putting it through it's paces.

This unit has made my life so much easier. It is very sturdy and it has held up to everything I've thrown at it so far. I used to mix everything by hand and this saves a lot of time. It takes a little more time cleaning the parts, but it greatly outweighs the grind of mixing and chopping by hand. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that I've only owned it for 2 months.

Powerful
I've waiting a while since receiving the food processor to write a review so I could use it a few times. I've concluded that I like this food processor a lot! I was replacing an off-brand food processor that was fine, but I didn't realize how whimpy it was until I used my new Cuisinart. I was a little surprised by the price of the Cuisinart, but I use my food processor often, so I thought I would get the value out of it. The base is REALLY heavy, but I'm pretty sure that's why it is so powerful. The cutting disks and blade are very sharp and make quick work of whatever I'm trying to shred, slice,, chop, or process. I'd keep the cutting disks out of reach of little hands -- they are VERY sharp. It took me a minute to figure out how to lock the disks onto the extender rod, but once the disk locked in, it was very strong and stable. I would recommend this Cuisinart model for anyone who cooks or bakes regularly.

Wonderful (so far . . .)
One caveat: I have only had this for a few weeks and because of dietary restrictions in the family I've had no excuse to make bread. But so far it has worked very well, and of the 5 or so food processors I've had in a long history of breakdowns and weird slices and jamming when grating this is the smoothest and neatest of all. Especially the very neat and fast slicing, with a nice big feed tube for slicing long things. My only complaint is that how to attach the disks to their arm is not intuitive, but once you figure it out it's not difficult. If I have trouble I will update this review.
