Best zester I've ever owned!
This is hands down the best zester I've ever had or used. I make a morning drink of water, lemon juice, and freshly zested ginger, so I use this every day. Prior to this zester, I was using a small, 3-sided zester/grater/shredder. It was a pain to clean because I couldn't get inside it very easily. I found this zester from a blogger when I was researching better options (I can't remember who it was).Things I love:- The size is great for a small task or larger one- Very comfortable handle- The marking for measurements are accurate (I checked in a regular measuring spoon)- Very easy to clean- The scraper gets nearly every bit out of what you're zesting- Protective cover will prevent injuries (like if a child grabs it), though even when running hands across the top, they don't get any cutsThings I don't like:- Could be a little wider for more surface area when zesting a lot at a timeI highly recommend this zester....it'll make your life easier and cooking faster.

A real treasure for grating citrus. For cheese....not so much.
If you want to treat yourself to a specialty gadget, this is the one. My favorite features are the fine, sharp v-shaped teeth (so it grates citrus peel perfectly), the zest collector on the reverse (so the zest doesn't end up all over the counter), and the nice, safe cover (so I don't zest my fingers when I reach into a drawer for it). Mine is in fine condition after a year, so I'm puzzled by some reviewers' "peeling paint" comments. Maybe they are washing their zester's oddly? In my book, you can't get a better citrus zester: it's fast, it's neat, and making lemonade is a snap. That said, it may shred too finely for a lot of other uses, like parmesan cheese for topping pasta or salads. For those tasks, I'd recommend the tried and true four-sided standup metal grater.

Best Zester Ever!
I wanted a zester that produced a much finer zest than the one I had, and this one is perfect! Produces a very fine zest with no effort, AND, as a bonus, catches all the zest in a nifty slide-off container that catches all the zest and eliminates any mess. I’ve only had it a couple months, but I use it all the time, and it’s easy to use, easy to clean, and I’m SO glad I chose this one.

Safe, easy to use zester
I use this zester primarily to make food for my birds. I zest citrus and carrots and this item does both great. It has three notable features:1) It has a plastic cover which slides on in a safe way to protect the zesting blades2) It has a plastic base which seals the underside of the zester so that the zest is stored inside the base until you're ready for it3) It has a rubber "spatula" on the plastic base which scrapes the zest off the blades and into the base when you remove it.These three features are really great for nuisance free zesting. Since I use this device regularly, these features are pretty great.I should also say the zester itself is quite effective, with sharp blades producing a fine zest.

I LOVE IT but...
This zester is awesome. I had zero complaints up until about 6 months ago (and I've now had it for 2.5 years). The green coating on the front of the zester is now flaking off... and I can't decide it if is happening when I am zesting and that I'm eating the flakes or if it happens because I put it in the dishwasher. If it only flakes in the dishwasher then I really don't care but I sure don't want to be eating it! I think they could have left that coating off anyway. It seems highly unnecessary to me. If they made one like this but without the green coating, I would buy it immediately!

Great Zester!
This zester makes very small zest which is great to incorporate into a recipe. I love the "tray" on the back that catches the zest. So no need to dirty a bowl or cup. It is easy to clean (respect the sharp edges) and I love the cover for safe keeping of fingers in between uses.

The design is also very nice - the length and curvyness
This zester is boss! Very sharp and strong - I use it to zest citrus, but I've also used it to grate cheese, garlic, ginger, and nutmeg. It has stood up very well to these harder materials. The design is also very nice - the length and curvyness. In flat zesters/graters, it can get tiring to hold them above a plate while grating. This grater works well with one end supported by a counter and the other in one's hand - it's really nice when you have a lot of material to grate or zest.Update: I have had this zester for a few years now and still love it. I always grate nutmeg near the base of the zester and it is starting to get a little dull, but the area that I use to zest citrus is as sharp as ever. Still very pleased with this product.

This doesn't zest AT ALL compared to old model. Don't waste your money!!
I love my old (yellow) Kitchen IQ zester. Got this one as a gift for a neighbor months ago but just presented it last week. We tried to zest a lime without success, then tried a (very) firm lemon and still nothing. Even with ridiculous pressure. I had raved about my old one, and ran home to get it. Sure enough, one swipe with the old tool on those same 2 fruits yielded perfect results. Exactly the same scenario as described by reviewer CB back in 2019.So what gives with this new model!?! Why so many (recent) positive reviews? Did i get a dud? Too late to return. What a shame.
