I was very pleased to learnt that Mysore Sandal now has a premium Sandalwood soap in the form of the Millennium Soap. It is an amazing product that simply overflows with the strongest smell of pure Mysore sandalwood. The smell stays on my skin for many hours after getting out of the shower and is calming, soothing, and relaxing. This product is worth every penny given the amount of oil they must have used in it and I would highly recommend it for the true connoisseurs and collectors that are as obsessed with quality Mysore Sandalwood as I am. The price in India is $12-$15 a bar, so this is certainly overpriced but hard to come by in the USA. The soap itself is pretty much without equal. Unlike many "sandalwood" soaps (and even the regular Mysore Sandal Soap), you can actually smell Indian sandalwood oil (santalum album) while lathering and all day on your skin after you bathe, and the soap is pretty moisturizing. Perhaps sensing this is not an everyday soap, the manufacturer packs it in a sealable and reusable plastic tray.
