FreedomPop Photon LTE: 4 in 1 Hotspot - Black

The concept is good but the thing never logs in. There is no way to connect to it. It is just sitting there and useless as of now. It connects to the wireless device but the verification process never works. It gets held up by the FreedomPop system

It's a little slow but I can tell the difference having my own wifi network.

I am a commercial remote pilot and my controller needs map updates but it has no Internet, so this device works like a charm...and it's free to use!

The review is for freedom pop service, not advertisesure horspot.I had an htc evo 4g from sprint, which I was informed by freedompop, would work on freedompop's network. (They operate off of sprints network, as go as far as sell my htc evo 4g for 279.00)Not only did they activate the evo, which never worked , they wanted me to send my phone back to freedom pop. I informed the rep the phone was not refurbished, but a new phone, sent to me from Sprint.after many days and numerous phone calls and forever on hold they released my emei number and I sought out a sprint hotspot and purchased a working unit. Freedompop again, couldn't get it to activate, which was strange, as it had an active freedom pop service on the hotspot from the previous owner.I thought it may have been a fluke the first time with the phone, but the same issue with their freaking hotspot? ? I called verizon, changed my data plan from 8 gig to 16 gig, and just use the hotspot on my galaxy S5 for my 3 kids to stream to their Xoom Tablets. Freedompop has a nice concept, but their customer service sorely lacks any type of substance.

CRAP. Device is fine, but freedompop company keeps scamming my credit card. They say 500mb, but really only allow you up to 400mb unless you have auto-tap turned on. And then they seem to flood you with extra data usage and charge your card multiple times. I just have to do a dispute on my credit card since they don't answer 1888 phone number or emails.

FreedomPop is a COMPLETE SCAM! Don't fall for the lies. We got burned on five phones--they didn't provide the promised service on ANY of them for more than a couple of months. And they hang up on you when you call tech support. Don't fall for this scam!
